Today we’re giving away 5 Rice Paper Parasols from Ideal Favors, purveyor of fine wedding favors, decor and gifts!
These parasols are available in 12 different colors and patterns. To enter, please tell us — what color parasols would you select, and how will you use them in your wedding?
You have until 8pm PST Thursday to enter. Good luck!
The Chartreuse and Chocolate Brown ones are our wedding colors. They would be perfect for our wedding.
I would select either the pink or the cherry blossom parasol. In my wedding, I would probably use them in pictures (bridesmaids) or buy enough additional parasols to provide shade to our guests since our wedding is outside on Sarasota Bay! ![]()
I was just talking to my bridesamaids about these over the weekend. I would love to have them for wedding photos. I would pick them in the red and turqoise to match the wedding colors.
I would select either the pink parasol or the cream with the cherry blossom pattern. I’d use them in pictures, our venue is outside near the beach, they’d be perfect in pictures!
Yay, parasols! We are having a beach wedding on the Gulf of Mexico, and I would love parasols to shade my ‘maids from the sun, then use as reception decorations.
I would select the chartreuse and fuchsia parasols and use them in lots of pictures and for shielding myself from the sun during the ceremony!
I think these would be beautiful for pictures of the bridal party, and they would make AMAZING brides maids gifts (and how convienent I have 5 bridesmaids), I would choose the light blue butterfly, and maybe add some of the brown (my wedding colors)
Fuschia to go with chocolate brown bm dresses! These would be awesome outside our 19th century venue.
I would use the turquoise… it matches my bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly, AND I have five bridesmaids! It’s meant to bee!
Oh that would be so cool…I’d love turquoise and brown mixture…those are my wedding colors!
Cherry blossoms! We’d give them to our parents and grand parents when they walk down the aisle.
These would make a lovely event having the bridesmaids carry the parasols while posing for the photographer. I would like the chartreuse one.
I would pick the red ones. Our colors are chocolate brown and slutty red!
I like all the colors. If I were to get them for my wedding, I’d probably order a mix of the chartreuse, fuschia, mango, and red.
Oh I have been looking for brightly colored Parasols!
Plum is my color! I would love to take some fun pictures with them!
I have had to cut these out of my budget!! I love them. I’d use four brown for my four bridesmaids and one white for me… =) They are perfect for our Beach wedding!
oooh! I’d love to win! The red & mango would be PERRRFECT!
Ooh, I would get white for a fun, fresh look for our grannies and my MOH who will be 7 months preggers at the time of the wedding!
The mango ones would be soooo cute! Our wedding colors are aqua and mango.
I love the fuchsia which isn’t one of our colours, but it would look lovely anyway. I’d use one for photos, give one to my grandma to keep her out of the sun, one to my sister to shield my 3 month old nephew, and use the last two for our faux photo booth!
The light blue butterflies would match PERFECTLY with out decor. I will have 3 bridesmaids and an outdoor wedding so they would be perfect gifts. I could also give the last one to my mother…
White ones, for our black and white wedding! I would use them to shad my lovely bridesmaids from the sun (which I have five of - perfect). We’re in Seattle and contrary to popular belief, it does stop raining sometimes…and we’re getting married on the hottest weekend of the year!
The chocolate brown would perfectly match by BM dresses, and would be gorgeous (and quite practical) for our outdoor-in-Georgia-in-the-heat wedding! It would be nice to keep my girls and moms from melting in the sun…
I would choose the pink and fuschia for my 5 girls! We could definitely use them to shield us from the hot August sun and the colours would look awesome in pictures!
The fuschia one for sure as it’s our color. I wanted to get parasols for my girls but didn’t due to lack of funds, so I would love to win these for our pictures!
I would go with the turquoise and a white ones. I’d do 5 in turquoise that 4 of my BM and I would hold, adn then one white one for my MOH to hold!! Our wedding colors a blue! bright blues in lots of shades! Ocean blue and turquoise are the key colors (and BM dress colors.) Since the wedding is outdoors on a beach these beautiful parasols would work perfectly!! The turquoise and white would compliment the BM’s dress and mine, as well as the sugar white sand and the bright blue water that will be our backdrop!
the pink and brown for our wedding colors! I would definitely use them in our wedding photos since we will be outdoors in the hot sun, these will provide some shade so my gorgeous bridesmaids don’t get sunburned!! =D
i’m one of 5 bridesmaids in a pink and green outdoor wedding — the pink ones would be great for us to hold in pictures!
i would love to win the fushia or chartreuse one to take our wedding pictures with!
Brown with green and pink accents. I would use them for the bridal party pictures.
I would get the white ones to use for pictures and decoration at the reception.
I love all the colors… I’d pick 5 different colors.. for the 5 different personalities.. they would add color to my black and cream wedding colors…
I would pick either the sakura or pink parasoles~ they would be perfect for our outdoor wedding.
hi!! I would love to win this… anyhow even if I don’t, thanks for the link to Ideal Favors. I’ve been looking for a purple parasol to paint “thank you” onto (we’ll be using it in some photos for our thank you cards) What great timing you guys have! ![]()
The Lilac! The contrast would be perfect w/ the navy bridesmaid dresses and lavender bouquets.
Finger’s crossed!
oooh, i would use the fuschia, turquoise, and mango. they’re my colors!
I would use the Rust Orange Parasols. Pictures mean the world to me so I would love for my 7 BMs to hold them while we take some hot shots =)
There are so many pretty ones to choose from (still looking over them…green or yellow will work). I would like to use them in thank you photos with guests.
I would use a combo of the pink, chocolate brown and cherry blossom patterns, and would use them for pictures and maybe even decor!
I would choose the chartreuse and chocolate brown…
These are beautiful! I’d use the turquoise ones for my bridesmaids…or maybe my mom and MIL since they’ll be sitting in the sun through the ceremony! And definitely one cherry blossom one for me for pictures!
I would pick Chartreuse! Our colors are Chartreuse and Chocolate Brown.
Plus, I have 4 bridesladies and so each of them could have one and it would leave a bonus one for me! Yeah!
The cherry blossom one is so pretty! I’ve always wanted parasol pictures with the bridal party ![]()
Our colors are red and turquoise - but I think the white ones are clean and modern! They would be great for photos with the bridal party!
pink - and we’re getting married at noon in August, outside. ’nuff said.
Coincidentally, I just picked up cherry blossom rice paper lanterns, so these would match quite well. Plus, after living in New York, it is going to be quite an adjustment getting married in the Arizona sun!
I’m actually planning on getting parasols for our wedding! I would choose the green or cherry blossom ones. I thought they’d be a cool prop to use in the wedding photos with my bridesmaids.
The cherry blossom parasol would be perfect for my wedding theme. They would look great for our bridal party pictures!
3 plum, 2 lilac. Our bridesmaids will probably be wearing different colors, but having a plum sash and parasol would coordinate everything. The two lilac parasols would be for our moms.
i recently got a plain white one for the engagement pictures. i would love to get a few more red/red-ish ones for my bridesmaids and mothers for an awesome photo op.
I would carry a white one, and have my bridesmaids carry the red ones. They look so wonderful in photos!
it would be mango and lime for me. maybe i would ask my maid of honor to hold one for me, so that my makuep won’t melt during our outdoor ceremony.
otherwise, definitely for pictures.
white ones would be perfect for protecting my bridesmaids from the powerful may kentucky sun!
I’d go with one white, one brown, one lilac, one plum and one chartreuse. I love the bright multicolored look. My bridesmaids and I would use them to protect ourselves from what will surely be some hellacious weather at the end of July and of course for some super sweet photos!
i would choose the pink or white ones, and give them to the mothers, grandmothers, and one great grandmother in attendance to keep them in the shade during the ceremony and to allow themselves some distinction as important women to us ![]()
Oooh! The fushcia would be perfect for my bridesmaids! These would add that great pop of color to my wedding!
I would choose the chartreuse and white parasols (and attempt to put our monogram on them!) and use them for fantastic photo opps!
Chocolate or Mango please….(those sound like a great dessert too)…we’d have fantastic bp pics!!!
Definitely the white ones. They would make for some really fun shots with the bridal party the Chicago skyline in the background!
I like the butterfly one. I would use them for my 4 bridesmaids plus myself
They’re so pretty!
I would love some red ones for my bridesmaids and me. Awesome photo ops!
I would love to get white ones for the elderly members of our group as we are getting married outside in August and I’m very afraid it will be too warm for a few of them.
I love the cherry blossom! They would be great for our outdoor ceremony!!!
I’d love the white ones, do go with our black, white, origami themed wedding
Chartreuse is one of my wedding colors along with chocolate brown, chartreuse would be ideal if I had to choose one. They would be great for the bridesmaids since the wedding will be held outside.
I love these!! I ordered some off of ebay and was devistated when they arrived after spending a ton of money that looked awful. They actually look so bad everyone has told me not to use them. I would love to have these in Pink or white!!!
The mango ones would look great with my bridesmaids dresses, which are orange ombre (yellow to burnt orange)
I would choose the white parasols and use them as decor, hanging upside down from the ceiling!
Mango for me! Such a cheerful color for my wonderful outdoor late summer wedding. It will go great with the navy dresses my maids plan on wearing.
I think I would pick turquoise and maybe green, too. It’s hard to choose!
Alright, I think I am going to be the only guy to comment on here, but my fiance would go nuts if I surprised her with these on our wedding day. She always shows me other weddings that use them in their pictures, and I don’t give it much thought, but if I brought them to her and her bridesmaids on our big day, she would know that I really am listening and appreciate all of her thought on every little detail that has gone into our wedding. Plus, she left this webpage up when she left to run errands this morning (maybe a hint to me?). I think she would pick either the white or cherry blossom ones, but I would have to go with the cherry blossom.
Oooh, Oooh, Pick me! I’d want them in pink because they would match my bridesmaids dresses perfectly!
I would so love these. I would pick the rice paper butterfly ones for the girls since they all have dark purple on and blue is the accent color. Then I would pick the plum colored for me, so that I can accent their dresses! Oh these would be awesome to win!
My theme is going to be centered around cherry blossoms, lily of the valley, and green orchids with a lot of other Asian themed decor. There will be flowers everywhere, but when it comes time to take the photographs, I want more of the Asian theme to stick out, and the chartreuse parasols for my girls would be perfect!
i think i’d go with the chartreuse which would look pretty with the plum bridesmaid dresses!
OMG! Our wedding is in a Japanese Garden (we met in Tokyo) and we’re having the bridesmaids walk down the aisle (and over the Koi pond) with them! And we have 5 bridesmaids!
We love the white ones, they would go PERFECTLY with our theme and scheme of indigo, copper, gray and white. The ladies will be in dark indigo blue, and these would really pop.
I would hang orange and green parasols upside down on the ceiling of our dance floor, along with the paper lanterns that I bought!
i would hang them upside down, at different heights, from the ceiling of the dance floor. i’d use the white ones and add led lights. i think it would look amazing!!!
I love the chocolate brown and chartreuse! They would match so perfectly with our location… an old Southern plantation on the river. So cute!
My wedding will be an autumn theme so the mango or the red parasols will be perfect! I’d carry one as will my four other bridesmaids.
Cherry blossom for sure! To keep our guests cool during a summer wedding!
I would go for chocolate brown. I have 4 BMs and myself, so 5 parasols would be perfect!
I would have to choose pink so it would match my wedding colors. The shade of pink is perfect!
lilac and cherry blossom…oh I would use them in photos of course and to block the sun! ![]()
Love love love the chartreuse, turquoise, and pink. I’d use them for fun photos with my girls ![]()
I would use all fuchsia for my girls. The pink would be a fun pop against their red dresses.
I would defiantly use the plum colored parasols. My girls are wearing black dresses and the color would pop like crazy! Just think about how great that would look in our photos!
I’ve got to go with white - cool and classic, and should coordinate with whatever color scheme I end up selecting. I’d use them for fun photo opportunities and maybe even for some decoration at the reception.
chartreuse and chocolate–our wedidng colors… I would give them to the few older folks - grandma, older aunts–who are more senitice about being out is the sun…it will also be like a little acknowledgement that they are special!
The plum and fuchsia ones would be perfect for me. I’m planning on using them as ceremony decor for our guests if it gets too hot in the sun and then for reception decor.
This would be perfect for me! My fiance is Chinese, so I plan on purchasing some parasols to use in pictures. We’re trying to incorporate various Chinese touches into the reception. Since red is a lucky color, I would get 3 red ones (one for myself and one for each of my 2 bridesmaids). The girls are wearing black dresses - black and red will look great in photos! For a fun pattern in pictures, I would get the butterfly and the cherry blossom parasols.
Oooh! I love me some mango! I’d use them to shield our grandparents from the hot summer sun on July 12! We’re getting married outside in a Southern California park and need all the additional shade we can get. Hotsy totsy!
I would choose the chartruse and fuscia or pink (our wedding colors). And I’m definitely going to need some of these for my outdoor August wedding in southern ca.
sigh. so hot.
the plum!!! these would be perfect to shade my bridesmaids!
I like the 32″ Colored Rice Paper Parasols in Turquoise. I would give these to my bridesmaids for some fun pictures. It matches my wedding colors perfectly. ![]()
I would choose either the orange or the blue butterfly patterned one. I would give the parasols to my five bridesmaids who could use the shade as our wedding will be in a Texas garden in May. I think they would look great in photos!
I would totally do the pink for all 5 of my bridesmaids. We’re getting married outside in August and I love the idea of them walking down the aisle with parasols instead of bouquets.
When you select me as the winner, I will select the white parasols…i <3 white parasols…they will look beautiful in my wedding pictures with my bridesmaids.
It’s hard to decide…it’s between the chartreuse, red, & turquoise. I love the way parasols look in photographs. I like meli’s idea of using them instead of bouquets.
I would choose white for my BM’s as a gift! I would love to use them in photographs but considering that the last 3 years it has rained on our wedding date so maybe they will be more functional… oops.
I would pick the Chartreuse ones… an EXACT match of the green we want… what to include them for.. EVERYTHING! pictures, decorations, fight off the sunburn… you name it ![]()
Purple, definitely, and I would make them available as shade on the porch outside our reception hall!
I would use the red ones b/c I’m doing a black and white and red wedding. I would use these in the pictures!!!
The chartreuse ones are great! That is one of our wedding colors. I would use them in pictures…taking some fun, zany ones…pops of color!
I would go for either the simple white one or the chartreuse! I would use the parasol to shade myself when I take my pictures, because the wedding is in a month and it is hot, hot, hot. Gotta protect myself from skin cancer!
I would choose white for my beach wedding and provide them to the guests for shade.
i would love the red with white flower pattern one, because i’m thinking in matching red and white to put more passion in my wedding!!!
Lilac to compliment our chocolate & lavender theme. I would also order 2 more: a white one and a lavender one for myself and the 6th bridesmaid. We could shade ourselves from the 90 degree sun, use them for photos, and as decor for the reception.
After discussing with my fiance, we thought that we would do a synchronized parasol performance during the ceremony, where people raise and lower them at different points along with the music to create a choreographed parasol show. We’d use the dark brown ones and white, to match the fall ceremony that we are planning. Beautiful products!
i’d like the white and light blue one, cause i think it goes with the ocasion i am trying to make it see!! all angelical!!
Fuschia Fuschia Fushia! Perfect for a bridesmaid photo-op
Fuchsia and Green are our wedding colors but I love the butterfly and cherry blossom! Totally would use them for AWESOME pictures and for my FIs mom since our ceremony is outside and she is very sun sensitive.
Oh my gosh I was just looking into this idea today! I was thinking about buying the lilac and chartreuse parasols as these match our wedding colors. It would be fantastic to win these! ![]()
all white would be beautiful, vintage, and very elegant. they would make great props for photos and to give to the moms and maids when it’s sunny out.
We’re getting married in Greece so these would be the perfect accessory for shielding the sweltering sun!! I love the classic white. I’d totally DIY a ‘thank you” on of the umbrellas for some cute photos too!
Definitely the fuscia color - it matches the flowers in the location where we are getting married and the parasols would be perfect to keep the guests out of the hot sun (we’re getting married in Guatemala)!
The Red ones! The female members of the bridal party would hold them for some really exciting and fun pictures!
I would pick the white ones and give them out at our outdoor ceremony to shade the older guests from the sun!
I’ll be taking pictures prewedding in the afternoon in a garden and I will definitely be using a white parasol since it will be hot, bright, and I have very fair skin. Plus it will make for some fantastically cute pictures =)
I would pick turquoise for our guests. I think it would make for a great overhead shot on the beach.
i would use the blue patterned parasols for my bridesmaids to hid from cameras when their smiles get tired.
I would definitely pick the Chartreuse b/c that is one of our wedding colors and would use them for my bridesmaids for when they are walking down the aisle at our beach ceremony to shade the sun from their lovely faces ![]()
palease pick me! I am in need of some parasols for my bridesmaids. I don’t know what i was thinking planning my wedding in august….the hottest month!
the turquoise is beautiful! i’d use them as bridesmaids gifts… and they can use them for bridal party pictures too! ![]()
Ulala! I would love the pink (top-left) or the green (bottom-right). I would love them for my bridesmaids, I have 5. We would use them for our pictures. They would look so beautiful.
ooh, pink to hand out to our guests. We’re getting married on a farm next July and will need some help with shade!
I love the mango and fuschia umbrellas. We’re getting married outside and these would be perfect for some of our older guests.
How perfect!!! We’re getting married in the Dominican where the sun will be beating down on us all day! I would have my bridesmaids carry Turquoise parasols to contrast with their purple dresses, and I would carry a Plum parasol. It would look especially divine for the beach pictures. The very thought of it makes me excited! I do hope I win but if not, I think I just might order me some parasols.
I would love the white parasols. I need them to block us from the sun for wedding photos this August in Tucson!
I would get the white ones and use them to take pictures with my bridesmaids
Definitely red and white, since they go with my colors and would look SO cute in my pictures.
Oops… how do I undo the email to this thread?? Sorry…
chartreuse, chocolate brown, and mango are our wedding colors. We’d definitely give these out to our wedding party for pictures!
I love the cherry blossom one. I have a cherry blossom tattoo that I used on all of our wedding stationary and on our cake. It would be amazing to use the parasols when we take our pictures on the beach with me, the FH, and the wedding party!
The fuchsia ones go with the bridesmaid dresses and I would use them for pictures!
I like the fuschia and mango ones, since those are our wedding colors! Since our wedding is outdoors in Florida in May, I’d give them to guests who needed shade.
we’re having an outdoor ceremony in August, so hopefully the parasols will help shade the guests on a beautiful sunny day. ![]()
I choose the chartreuse and fuscia! These would be fantastic for our outdoor ceremony and would look amazing in the photos!!
love them!
love the chocolate and cherry blossoms….they would be great accents in our cocktail hour area
The fuschia and light pink would be perfect for our guests to shade themselves during the ceremony!
The lilac or plum would look great with my bridesmaids dresses, but I have this strange affinity for cherry blossom anything…guess that comes with the territory working for Bath & Body Works. I’d use them for the special ladies who aren’t in the wedding party.
I would use the white ones (boring, I know) and give them to elderly relatives/guests - they’d need them most.
I’d use the pink parasols for my bridesmaids. They would match their dresses perfectly!
I’d select the chartreuse, fuschia, and aqua- because they are our wedding colors. I would hang these above the dance floor in our tent with some paper lanterns.
I’d choose pink and give them to our parents and grandparents to use since the wedding is outdoors.
The red and cherry blossom would be perfect. I would wrap them in white Christmas lights and hang them from the ceiling of our tent as decoration.
Turquoise ones to match our wedding colors. They’d look magnificent in my bridesmaid’s hands as they pose for pictures for our destination wedding in Aruba…!!
Loving the blue pattern one but I’d have to choose fuchsia for the burst of color. I would use them any way I could… for guests, for pics, as decor…
Chartreuse and Turquoise are my wedding colors. They would look fabulous for me and my bridesmaids on our photo session outdoor. We’re having a July wedding and it would be hot and sunny outside, so this is PERFECT!
