For Me??

June 30th, 2008 @ 1:14 pm by Mrs. Sundae

I was so excited to get this in the mail - an invitation to my own shower! Mr. Sundae and I are almost the last of my friends to get married, so I’ve received a lot of shower invitations. I knew it was coming but was still clueless when I opened the envelope…it was completely surreal to see my name in print!

The shower itself actually makes me pretty nervous, but the invitations are oh so cute. My maid of honor and adorable cousin made them herself…we didn’t even know she was crafty ;) I hated to blur all of the information out but wanted to show them to you anyway.

It’s hard to see in the pictures but they are thick and have a really nice matte finish. So well done! I am not quite sure how she did it but I know it involves scrapbook paper and Kinkos ;) I can find out the details if you’re interested.

Was it strange to see your own shower invitation?

I had to remind my sister to send me an invitation to my own shower, lol. She forgot because I wasn’t on her “guest list” but I really wanted one for my fridge and then later for the scrapbook.

I absolutely LOVE my shower invitations! I think they are the most wonderful thing anyone has ever made for me (my friend’s husband is a graphic designer and they are truly the most gorgeous invitations I have ever seen. I wish I could afford to pay him to do our wedding invites!) I’m nervous about the shower but the invitations are the most fabulous things ever.

I really like how they incorporated your black and white and green so perfectly! :) It’s even damask-y!

I was excited (and yes, it was a bit surreal) when I got my invitation. The ladies who did my shower incorporated my colors brilliantly, and I ended up using an idea of theirs for my centerpieces!
