Shoes are my vice, music is my passion in life and technology is the medium by which I live and work. Taking It Too Far

July 7th, 2008 @ 5:05 pm by Miss Pomegranate

Would it be too Bridezilla of me to ask the caterer’s clean up team to use these bags during the post-bash pick up?

Yes, I think so - that’s taking it a BIT too far! Of course, I didn’t really consider this - I only thought of it as something a Bridezilla might do. Though I have to say, it seems that our wedding is seeping itself into some of the small aspects of our daily life.

For instance, check out Mr. Pomegranate rockin’ this sweet black and white damask apron right before barbecuing some tasty, tasty Fourth of July burgers.

I’m sure Mr. Pom will appreciate me posting this here! Seriously though, doesn’t he look so cute!?

Are there thoughts that you’ve had and nixed due to the fact that it’d be “taking it too far”?

I bet some eco-friendly brides would choose some eco-friendly bags for their catering team.
I think if you gave the clean up crew those bags, they would take them home.

Mr. Pom looks cute in the apron. I am going to e-mail his pic to my fiance to he can see that men do wear aprons.

Actually, I think those bags are really cute! lol. Maybe it’d be too far to ask the caterer to use them, though. ;)

There are a few ideas of mine that have been shot down, either by my fiance or by myself. lol. It usually involves something that would either be entirely too difficult to choreograph the set-up of or something that is just too ridiculous to spend money on.

I too feel your pain. At what point does the number of blue bird details become one too many? I guess I’ll find out.

Do you think that damask toilet paper is going too far? I hope not, because I already bought it.

@Jenny Louwheeze: Ha! I wish I would have thought of that tagline before I posted this. Awesome.

@Beebs: Hilarious! I love it! Where in the world did you find damask TP?!

Hello Miss Pom!

I just checked out WeddingBee and saw your post about the damask print that you’re using. We’re using it as well for our August 29 wedding and I’ll have plenty of things left over if you might be interested. Drop me an e-mail at beatls8@hotmail.com and I’ll fill you in on all of the stuff that I’ve found with the print (a large hat box that we’re using for our card box, message boards, picture frames, stationery, etc.) Hope it helps!

I’ve finally found a venue that appreciates my
obsession! I found the TP at:

And I know I’ve crossed a line, but I’ve decided to embrace it.

Miss P - I appreciate your posts, as I’m also doing damask, with the black and white stripe and a teeny tiny bit of polka dot (as in the ring bearers tie.) Whenever I tell people, they mutter things that sound like “busy” and look at me like I’m nuts…but then again, I did just buy matching tp, so they may have a case. :)
