Flower Girl Gifts

July 8th, 2008 @ 8:33 am by Mrs. Tiramisu

For the two cutie pies who will precede me down the aisle, I put together a few little girly tokens of my appreciation.

Personally, I think the best part is the pink suitcase housing the gifts. If we were talking about Miss Tiramisu circa 1990, this would be continuously filled and refilled with toys, dolls, and all sorts of unnecessary crap and constantly carried around the house proudly. I hope A. and C. do the same.

First up we have some sparkle-encrusted flip flops for pink-loving A. and her purple-loving sister C. They’ve got some ladylike shoes to carry them down the aisle, but these will be more fun for reception shenanigans.

Next is another gift I would have loved to have as a kid- a digital camera key-chain. It’s an actual digital camera with a preview screen, and it holds 200 pictures! I’m sure the quality is total crap, but this looked way fun to me. These were marked $20 but when I got home and looked at the receipt I saw that I had only been charged $15…score.

Last are just a few little trinkets to fill up the box- Pop Rocks and an assortment of candy flavored lip glosses.

It was pretty easy to think back to my 8-10 year-old days and come up with these- but now I’m stuck with no idea what to get for our ring bearer. Having never been a 9 year-old boy, I’m clueless. Any ideas?

What did you get for the littlest members of your bridal party?

Cute! I love Pop Rocks! I got my nieces the cutest little girl pearls from http://www.moonriverpearls.com. Shipping is free and the quality was great.

I would recommend a site like this:
http://www.gifts.com/finder
Go through and answer the questions and they show you a list of whats available all across the internet. There is another one called gift wizard I think. I have used it to jump start my gift finding or ideas quite a few times.

These are adorable! I agree with HayJ to get at least very similar things for the boys. I also wanted to suggest that you consider opening the cameras for them and making sure they have everything they need (batteries, mini screw drivers etc.) There is nothing worse then getting a super cool present and needing to wait until you go home to use it!

For the ring bearer…

- Legos (like Julia said)
- matchbox cars
- action figures (super heroes, GI Joes)
- candy (like the flower girls)
- camera (like the flower girls)
- little science kit type-things (spinning stuff, dinosaurs, rocks, etc., you can look in a children’s museum shop)

Boys are so much harder to buy for. Our ring bearer is a bit younger - he’s 5. One of the gifts we got him was this personalized piggy bank http://www.bellacroft.com/p-2522-clayberry-cottage-hand-painted-ceramic-car-bank.aspx . He keeps telling everyone he’s the Best Man so we’ve started calling him our Ring Man. I had it personalized with Ring Man and his name Joel. It says to put the name and date, but you can add whatever you want as long as it fits. It’s hand painted and very nice. We also got him a small art set because he loves to draw.
