… Being chosen as the newest bee, that is!
Like some of you out there (c’mon, admit it!), I was an avid Weddingbee reader before I was even engaged last December to the wonderful Mr. Sweet Tea. He thought I was being silly, but I say it was being practical: a lot of my early blog stalking pre-planning has kept me from going nuts as we try to organize a socially conscious, mini-destination wedding in New Orleans this December all the way from southern California.
But before I get into Mr. St’s and my backstory and the fun projects we’ve been cooking up lately, there are some things you need to know about this lil Sweet Tea. Like the drink, I’ve got Southern roots; am delightful on a hot summer day, but only with ice; and sometimes my desire to be a different kind of tea isn’t always appreciated by those who like their more familiar brew. But I’m sweet, dangit, so my stubbornness is that much easier to swallow. ![]()
Those are the basics, now on to the pictures! I looked high and low for pictures of myself with a tall glass of sweet tea for you, but alas you will have to settle for other shots of me and some of my favorite things:
(at the Comic Museum in Brussels)
…
Monkeys!
(with the tarsiers in Bohol, the Philippines)
….
My Kitties!
Inez
(from a birthday card I made Mr. ST)
….
and of course, my favorite person in the whole world
… who will have to be coaxed out of his Weddingbee-shyness ![]()
I am so thrilled to join the hive and cannot wait to share all the highs (and some of the lows) of wedding planning with you!
Welcome, Miss Sweet Tea! Your intro is so cute. (Random side note: I never noticed that Kali has one black leg.)
