Ideas Coming to Life

July 15th, 2008 @ 8:30 am by Mrs. Tiramisu

We are getting so close to the wedding! I think my level of nervousness is finally getting overtaken by my level of excitement! It’s so great to see everything start to come together. When my Maid of Honor Carolyn came to visit last weekend, I had her try on the whole bridesmaid ensemble from head-to-toe (she is a really good sport!)

It was so fun to see this:

This board was made months ago when I was trying to decide on the pashmina color, but I think these are correct: (clockwise from flip flops): JCrew, ebay seller Aileen3535, etsy seller SandySimone, Ann Taylor (dress), Kenneth Cole Reaction via Zappos, Ann Taylor (necklace), unknown ebay seller (sorry)

Turn into this:

Model is headless upon request.

And without the pashmina:

I love how it all came together! Even with the collage of pictures, I really couldn’t picture it until Carolyn tried everything on. I’m having a really hard time picturing lots of things- the flowers, reception set-up, our cake- even though I have all the components basically right in front of me.

What are you most excited about seeing come together on your wedding day?

Have any of you seen the video montage displays that can be put on each guests table?? I just read a article about them on http://www.weddinghoneymoonvacations.com and wondered if any of you had seen them actually used at a wedding. Thanks

I was really nervous about how our wedding party’s “look” would come together. I did one of those “virtual wedding parties” on the DB website, but it didn’t look right at all!

Our BM dresses were dark chocolate brown, and I was nervous that they would clash with the black tuxedos. They didn’t! It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful to see the whole party together. There’s nothing that can give you the image quite like seeing it in person.

Very nice combo… I’m most anxious about our film crew and how everybody is going to embrace it. We’re having a Same Day Edit done, and will be shown at the end of the night. It will be a nice surprise for our guests.

On a different note, I’ve been looking around for a decent price on Pashmina’s and checked out eBay seller Aileen3535. She’s giving me the run around on shipping prices… not good.

@McG: I actually went with ebay seller heidi-nj: http://stores.ebay.com/heidi-nj
Not a fast communicator, but I contacted her and got a bulk price/shipping discount. Good luck!

@Miss Tiramisu:

I saw items in her store, and her rates are better…
Thanks for the info :)

My outfit!

(Actually I’m just excited about going to see my dress again and taking my veil with me so that I can see all that together…)

It turned out fantastic! I’d be thrilled to be one of your BMs - the whole outfit is cute.

Your MOH looks great. I have a hard time visualizing things too. The collage idea is great way to keep the different elements straight in your head. I’m going to have to remember that.
