Mad Props

July 15th, 2008 @ 5:49 pm by Mrs. Gingerbread

As you may recall, we are planning to do a faux photo booth (or fauxto booth as some clever person said on BeeTV last night. If it was you, claim it, cuz that was a good one :) ). Anyway, we really wanted some fun props but I didn’t want to spend a lot. Luckily, I found some random stuff at the local dollar store that I think will do the trick.

I previously mentioned that I have a couple of faux fur wraps in black and blue that are in the prop box. I also picked up a rainbow lei, a grass skirt, a pink headband with stars and feathers, and some party hats.

I’m also borrowing a couple of other hats from our photographer/friend, Aki and another friend is picking up some mustaches for us.

What about you? Are you doing a photo booth? What kinds of props are you using? Can you recommend any must have items for our prop box?

Wow- you’ve got a lot of stuff! What about a little picket sign that says “Marriage Equality Now!” I think that would be awesome and would make for some powerful (and fun) pictures!

@swp02138: Haha, those wigs would be a great addition!

@Miss Sweet Tea: Unfortunately, I ditched all my signs when we moved to Canada :( If you have any lying around, you are welcome to bring it along :p

Yay for mustaches! I love that. I remember seeing a wedding where the entire bridal party wore faux ’staches for some serious photos. It was hilarious!

Wish I could find those photos…
