About Mrs. Avocado

Shopstyle led me to Yoox which led me to these.

They really do match each other in color. I am not sure why they aren’t doing so here.

They are everything I was looking for in a wedding shoe. Lower heel, gold(ish), unique. Bonus that they are Italian made (belissima!). Double bonus that they incorporate every single color I would like to focus on for the wedding. Gold, black, ivory, green, brown, and red.

I’ll be replacing the little bead you see on top with the perfect little button.

Anyone else have a craving for deliciously unique shoes?

They match your avocado icon, too! Did you decide to be avocado-licious because of your wedding colors?

Those are so sweet :) A button in place of the bead will be very cute!

I thought I’d get really unique shoes like that - but ended up with a traditional pair ;)

Adorable!

May I suggest that if you can’t find a button you like that you consider a pair of lovely freshwater pearls? Not the perfectly round kind, but something more organic… maybe even in a lovely glowing olive green like these:

We had our shoes custom made; we’d been taking dance classes almost as long as we’d been dating, so the wedding was a great excuse to splurge on dance shoes.

And yes, we did have that ridiculous-looking catalog carefully tucked into the planning binder.

those are so much fun! i’m definitely a fan of unique shoes - when i was engaged, i knew i wanted a pair of fun dance shoes rather than bridal shoes. that way, i knew they would be comfortable, unique, sexy and i would get a lot of use out of them after the wedding.

@MagPie518: Magpie I never even noticed that, but I do find myself eating a lot more avocados once I became Miss Avocado.@beanchar: That’s genius! Looks like I’ll be pursuing some perfect pearls if those buttons don’t work out.

I LOVE these shoes. They are so unique and cute and will totally be wearable after the wedding. And then you can remember all the great things that happened while you were wearing them.

@danathebride:I found them on Yoox (link above) and they are by a company called Cafe Noir. The brand doesn’t seem to have any type of online shop, but I found a pair on

ebay
that make me want to see more more more of this brand!

@Jill: Jill those sound beautiful, maybe I should keep looking :)
