My bachelorette was last weekend in NYC and I had SO much fun! My MOH kept everything a secret from me so I didn’t really know what to expect. Each day she gave me an envelope of what was in store for me for that day.
Friday me, my MOH and one of my best friends from college drove from Boston to NYC. We were running a little late so we rushed to the Residence Inn in Times Square, got ready in 30 minutes and ran out the door to meet everyone else for dinner. I must have mentally checked out already because on the cab ride to the restaurant, we realized that I parked my car in front of the hotel but never gave the valet my keys. Luckily the car was still parked out front when we got back to the hotel (phew!) and we hopped in a cab once again to head to dinner.
Dinner was at Holy Basil in the East Village. I have to say this was the perfect spot for a large group dinner. The restaurant was roomy (especially for a Thai place), the food and wine were great and not too expensive. We had a group of about 15 girls and 6 bottles of wine so needless to say there was a lot of giggling, laughing and general loudness going on.

After dinner, my girls took me to Bowery Wine Company. Bowery Wine Company is a really cute, smallish bar. A group of guys bought us all tequila shots as soon as we walked in the bar. We spent the rest of the night there talking, laughing and drinking lots of lots of shots. It was a perfect night to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time. We stayed until about 3am and then decided to head home.

The next day we woke up around 11 (I love sleeping in), got ready and jumped in a cab to Belazza Salon. The girls had reserved the top floor of the salon for all of us to get pedicures and manicures. We had pizza delivered, the salon provided wine (I was way too hungover to drink any though) and got purdy. The girls all pitched in and got me an hour massage as well.
After the relaxing salon afternoon, we shopped for a bit and then headed back to the hotels to get some R&R before the big night out. We then got all glammed up while drinking margaritas in the hotel. Before we left, the girls gave me some sexy lingerie and some bachelorette wear. After I donned the token male genitalia necklace, some candy necklaces and bracelets and a cute “bride to be” feathered tiara that lit up, we headed out to Paladar in the LES. My friend had ordered a prix-fix menu so it made things really simple. The food and drinks were delicious.

After dinner the girls took me to SinSin for some dancing, but it was crowded so we left and wandered into some random bar called Dempsey’s. Why Dempseys you ask? The plentiful amount of men milling about was the main reason. The rest of the nights was filled with shots, my girlfriends daring men to take their underwear off (only one taker) and/or eat my candy necklace off my wrist or neck. We all had a great time and had a relatively well behaved night. Of course we topped the night off with some late night New York pizza

Sunday we again woke up late and dragged our hungover butts to brunch at Bubby’s in Tribeca. After some delicious pancakes and coffee, we all headed home. It was a fabulous weekend and I felt so blessed to have such thoughtful and caring girlfriends in my life.
*I didn’t end up wearing the Shoshanna dress cause my girls didn’t want to stay in the dress. Haha. I found this black silk dress on sale from Karen Millen last minute. Thanks for all your votes though
Looks like so much fun! Totally random, but I know one of the girls in your group…she was in my sorority at Michigan.
Congrats!
