Mr. Pinot Noir’s fabulous sister was kind enough to shoot an unofficial engagement session for the great price of one-margarita-and-Mexican-dinner! She is a semi-professional- she has a degree in photography- and we knew she would be able to capture some great shots!
We spent a cold winter day exploring New York City and capturing some of our favorite spots. We were hoping to get four different locations for use in our save-the-date magnets (more details soon).

Where did you take your engagement photos? Did anybody else explore some unusual locations or are we the only couple crazy enough to use a baseball stadium as our backdrop?
We took our engagement pictures around the downtown area of the city we live in. Our favorite backdrop was a huge brick wall in an alley covered with graffiti. This is one of my favorites from that shoot: http://tinyurl.com/65wyux I think the rusty yellow barrel definitely qualifies as “non-traditional.”

wow, you must be die hard Yankees fans trekking all the way to the (old) stadium! Cute pics!
We actually had ours done at Angels Stadium, inside, on the field, in the dugouts, bullpen, the whole thing - it was an amazing experience! We both wore our Angels jerseys and when we sent the pictures to my mom, she kept asking me why I didn’t wear a prettier outfit 
How fun! We took our engagement photos yesterday… and most of them were in a parking garage So definitely an unusual location

I love these…of course I’m also a huge fan of the city! But, they really are very cute, and what a great way to save a bit without feeling jipped! Engagement photos at the price of a drink and a meal is a great deal!
We did ours in the downtown area of a relatively tame small town. We wanted a more “urban” feel however, and somehow our photographer managed to make it appear that way! Our favorites, however, were those taken in front of textured and/or brightly colored backdrops — for example a steel grated door or a bright yellow wall with intriguing bumps and ridges.
Yours though are awesome — nothing beats the backdrop of NYC!
