My bachelorette party was classic, fun, and perfect!! Our wedding party was spread out across the US, so both Mr. D and I didn’t have our bachelor/bachelorette parties until two days before our wedding! Yes, definitely a crazy hectic wedding week, but oh so worth it, to get to party with ALL your bestest friends together!

The day started with my sisters and one of my bridesmaids desperately trying to pry me away from my last minute wedding planning task list! “Drop it!” I heard a million times. “We are forcing you to relax!” After finally letting go (both figuratively and literally winky050), I was whisked off to the opening ceremony: brunch at Border Grill in Santa Monica.

Here, the girls all got a chance to be introduced in person over some of the best Mexican food in town. My best friends from growing up, my college crew, and my darling sisters! This was the first moment where I realized people were actually now in town… Wow, the wedding weekend was in full swing!

Next up, my girls surprised me with a full body massage… exactly what I needed to melt away all the wedding planning stress and really start enjoying everything! Seriously, nothing could have been more perfect. We headed off to Glen Ivy Day Spa where I was immediately whisked away and pampered by their staff. After my massage, my girls and I relaxed and chitchatted in the jacuzzi, the steam room, the tea room… Talk about living in luxury smiley10105. (And by the way, for those of you interested, Glen Ivy is awesome b/c even if you do not purchase a service, you can still use the spa for a mere $20!)

After the most relaxing afternoon I had had for as long as I could remember, it was already dinner time! We headed back to our hotel to get ready, and then headed off to Buddha’s Belly for some tasty fusion food!

But who knew that the night had just begun? Well, first, of course, we had to make a quick Pinkberry run… gotta love that stuff!

Once we got our fix, it was off to Hollywood for some DANCING! And of course, some mingling smiley3023. Did my girls have a night in store for me! More details on the specific games forthcoming - Let’s just say that none of us had to pay for one drink all night, thanks to many a gentlemen!

And we danced the night away!…

Well, dancing of course takes energy, and after a full night of it, we definitely had some munchies! We made a quick stop for some hot dogs…Totally hit the spot! That’s RIGHT, I ate greasy hot dogs two days before my wedding! Who says brides can’t eat! smiley3023

By the time we got back to our hotel, it was about 3 AM. Considering I went to bed around 4:30 AM the previous night (which was my normal bedtime every night the two weeks before my wedding…I am being 100% serious), I was pretty exhausted by this time. I felt a bit guilty, because my girls had planned several more games for the night, but I seriously was about to pass out. We did play one game though - the classic “How Well Do You Know Mr. D” game! They had gotten Mr. D to film himself, and it was awesome to get to see him on video after not seeing him all day. It really was the perfect way to conclude a perfect day, because at the end of the video, he had the sweetest and special-est message for me, just sharing how excited he was for the big day smiley10105.

Thanks, girls, for planning one of the most memorable and fun days for me! I love you all, and I am so blessed to have sisters like you by my side!
