About Mrs. Daffodil

Every element of my bachelorette party was a blast, but the games were what really took the cake!  I thought I would share some of the games that we played, for those of you who are currently or will one day find yourself planning a bachelorette party!

The Spinner. So simple yet ingenious! One of my bridesmaid put together a spinner for me to wear around my neck the whole evening. The idea was to have the guys I would encounter throughout the night take a spin, and then perform that action for me! And each time, my girls would of course be documenting it by taking all these pictures. Embarassing, perhaps even mortifying, but definitely a ton of FUN! smiley3024 And the guys were all such good sports…!

Here I am, all decked out in classic bachelorette party gear (aka my tiara of flashing male genitalia lights…oh my) and showing off my spinner…!

The Bride’s To-Do List. This game really stole the show! It was a series of ten notecards, each with a task for me. Each task would be progressively more challenging, and I was not allowed to look ahead. Examples of simpler tasks included: Taking a blow job shot (no hands of course!) or getting a free drink from the hottest bartender… and examples of some more challenging aka potentially mortifying tasks: Getting a guy’s number and a free “naughty” drink without explaining it’s my bachelorette party or dancing on the bar! All in all, it made for the PERFECT bachelorette party… and by the sixth shot, you are just about up for pretty much anything! Oh, and the bonus task: Drunk dial Mr. D!

I am not sure which card I was reading here, but obviously, I am in shock. Not the most flattering picture after a few drinks and a lot of dancing, but included just for fun, in the spirit of full disclosure!

The classic “How Well Do You Know Your Fiance” game. Pretty much a must-have at any bachelorette party/bridal shower! My MOH came up with a list of fun questions beforehand and sent them off to Mr. D. She had him videotape himself saying each question and then his answer. Examples might be: “Where is Mr. D’s favorite date place?” or “What is Mr. D’s favorite food?”… and of course, you could always spice it up with some naughty questions too smiley3024. On the evening of the party, my girls asked me a question, and then said, “Well, let’s see what Mr. D. has to say!” It’s great after a full day with your gals to also see your fiance, even if it is just on video. And it’s always interesting to find out how well you really do know one another!!

Those were the three games that we got a chance to play…We ran out of time for the rest! But it was plenty fun indeed!!

Any particularly fun bachelorette party games you have played before? I’ll be planning Sister Daffodil’s bachelorette party soon, so I’m definitely open to ideas! smiley3024

you look too cute! the spinner is adorable. super cute handwriting and neat! i love!

ideas ….. you have to do the lifesaver shirt? pin individual packaged lifesavers to the front and back of the shirt, and people have to pay a dollar (funding drinks for the bride of course) and they get to pluck off the lifesavers using their mouth. forgot the name of the game, saw that while i was in vegas!

i played a fun ice breaker game at a shower earlier this summer. When you first get there you fill out a card with your name, which household chore you hate the most and why.

Then the hostess reads the cards but instead of saying why you hate the chore she says, “susie hates SEX because” and then reads the reason you wrote. They are usually along the lines of “susie hates sex because it’s dirty and gross and it takes forever.” It was a big hit.

You ladies did a great job!
Do you have a list of the questions they asked Mr.D? I’m doing this for a friend’s shower and need ideas for more questions.
Thanks in advance:)

I loved the games we played at my bachelorette party too - we had a groomsman draft! All of the Groomsman were of similar height, so we decided that the fun way to match them up with BMs was to let the BMs pick the one they wanted! There are some photos on my blog last week if you’re interested, it was a total blast! :) Becky

So fun! I love the spinner - wonder where she got it? It’s obviously something well-made with it’s metal spinner!

I just went to a bachelorette party last weekend and we did a scavenger hunt that had us going EVERYWHERE for things as easy as coins in the B&G’s birth years and as difficult as getting a Hustler from 1995 or earlier… SO much fun!

At a recent Bachelorette party we played a version of the “toilet paper wedding dress” We were given a white plastic (bathroom sized) garbage bag, toilet paper, tape, scissors and a few random embellishments (crepe paper, construction paper…) and were allowed to use any items on the food/drink table and we had to create a piece of wedding night lingere for the bride. It was rather fun and entertaining and a good icebreaker (I was the model for our team, and I knew noone else - nothing like having paper hearts and m&m’s glued to your private areas by total strangers to make an instant friendship!) It was a blast!
