There was quite a swarm of bees this weekend in the Philadelphia area! We met at a pretty cozy hive (Marathon Grill on 10th and Walnut Street), and it was a fantastic time getting to chat with local bees and readers over Sunday brunch.

Thanks to one of our readers, adela we found an ideal location for the meet-up at the Marathon Grill. They have this extra long community table on the 2nd floor that’s perfect for a larger group. Where’s Mrs. Snow Pea? I’ll leave it up to you to find her!

Here she is! She did a great job setting up her laptop so that we could broadcast this event live via beetv.

It’s sad to say that I haven’t let go of a lot of my wedding related clutter. But hey, in the case of any event they can be quite handy in enhancing the decor of your table. I brought along 10 of these votives decorated with two layers of scrapbooking paper.

Paper roses made with leftover crepe paper from our rehearsal dinner.

Mrs. Snow Pea decided to bring along flowers from her garden, dahlias and poppies.

The first to arrive, Mr. and Miss Candy Corn! Like on Weddingbee, they’re such a cute couple in real life. Don’t you love their style too? Check out Mr. Candy Corn’s Lego shirt and Miss Candy Corn’s Anthropologiesque dress.

The three of us! Eeep!

MagPie518 came up with the excellent idea for the meetup… and then we discovered she couldn’t stay for the entire event!
It was very sweet of her and Mr. MagPie518 to stop by and say hello. She’s getting married at the stunning FUEL House, which was the home of MTV’s Philadelphia Real World series.

Miss Cupcake arrived!
She brought along her invitation that she beautifully designed by herself. It was so nice to see all the details up close, especially the blue-green peacock inspired envelope liners and the elegant borders and patterns.

Thank goodness for wireless, because we were able to broadcast live from the restaurant! It was fun to share the beetv experience with our readers.

More guests arriving, here we have Bride888 on the left, sillyinphilly and Miss Ruffles on the right.

One of our readers, sillyinphilly, is quite a talented illustrator. She and her husband handcrafted all of their wedding details. Here’s a view of their Save the Dates.

Her husband created these photo gallery information cards for the wedding guests. I loved how he included all sorts of vintage cameras, such as the one here and a Holga camera. You can check more of her wedding details on her blog.

Everyone waiting for brunch to arrive. The food was delish and the service was very nice and accommodating for a lovely swarm of bees.

And finally a group shot of the Weddingbees. It was definitely an excellent experience to meet some of the sweetest and talented readers in the area. Thanks to everyone who showed up, and if you couldn’t make it to this event, there’s always room for more meet-ups in the future. Stay tuned! ![]()
