In my Philadelphia abode, I create mixed media artwork and one-of-a-kind home accessories in the company of my farmer-tanned husband, our Westiepoo (Betty White), our three rabbits (Cadbury, Willie Nelson and Applesauce) and our two frisky chinchillas (Ethel Funk and Maude).
About candycorn

I just spent a half hour browsing Google for “something blue” ideas for my friend’s wedding, when I discovered this beauty:

bridal-

Betty Beauty

I like to consider myself to be a pretty laid-back, alternative bride kinda gal, but this is just beyond my realm of comprehension. When I first stumbled upon the website, I was confused and wasn’t sure what I was looking at. I was like, aw cute, free wedding stencils! Then I tried to figure out what exactly they were being stenciled on, when I realized, OH MAH GAH, they are marketing to brides who they think should dye their coochies candy blue for their wedding day! Call me a pube prude, but something tells me this isn’t the kind of “something blue” my friend had been hoping for. Unless the groom-to-be has a Smurf fetish, I can’t really see the sense in splurging $20 for this. Even though it totally matches our wedding colors, I’m not willing to take my color theme obsession THAT far.

betty-b

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at Betty White in her blue sweater the same way again.

What kinds of wedding-related products have you found that have made you wonder, what can’t they market to brides?

okay, I can’t even bring myself to look at the website, but what troubles me most from the screencap is that it seems that this product has won awards! WTF?!?

THIS. IS. AMAZING. Candy corn, you win my LOL award of the day. Plus I’m going to spend all day long thinking about why someone would want to stencil the shape of a dove into the netherregions.

This reminds me of the SATC episode where Samantha is trying to cover a gray hair, and leaves the dye on too long. She corners Carrie in the bathroom and says “I am bozo the clown!”

I don’t know if I’m more perplexed about why someone would do this in the first place, or why there are stencils involved.

This one get the ol’ W-O-W hand signs!

I just shot coffee out my nose here in the office when I realized what I was looking at. Then I got to thinking, should this be a bride only thing? Oh wouldn’t it just be the sweetest thing if the bride and groom had matching short and curlys?

And now, thanks to the taking-it-to-the-next-level by zombiegroom, I just shot _my_ coffee out my nose. Unbelievably hilarious.

But wow, what a perfectly bizarre April Fool’s Day prank… hm….

@mhb: I once for April Fools made a small tube out of a few layers of paper towel, filled the tube with kool-aid. The tube was then put inside the pipe that the shower head attaches to. Needless to say the first person into the shower had a colourful surprise that morning!

I’m having a S&C moment where Samantha lovingly referred to herself as Bozo the Bush. I _WILL_ blog about this one!
