I’m glad that there will be no “Miss Pig in a Blanket” :p I don’t care for the sound of “Miss Stuffed Mushroom” either. It has the same imagery of as the pig in a blanket! But the rest of the options are really cute.
Okay, if it’s “Miss Mushroom Cap,” I think that’s much better
I really like the fondue idea, and it would make a cute icon! Miss Calamari is cute, too!
I’m with Mrs. GB, “Miss Stuffed Mushroom” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
I think hummus, mushroom cap, slider and fondue would translate well into a character
But if I had to narrow it down my vote would be for Mushroom Cap, I think it would look SO CUTE!
I think you could add fondue and hot wing to the list and call it quits!

I love Miss Fondue and Miss Hummus are my two favorites. Miss PuPu Platter?
I like Miss Canape & think that it would translate well into a cute, colourful little character!
I like mushroom cap, fondue, and I really think Miss Tea Sandwich would be cute. I don’t think quiche would make a very good icon. And I’m not sure Crab Cake would either. Miss Canape would sound really cute, but maybe look too similar to Miss Bruschetta?

@Lauren: i agree - i do think canape and bruschetta will look similar. i thought crab cake wouldn’t make a cute icon either, but we can put them on little plates with garnish to spice them up.

Calamari and fondue are really cute.
I really think that you should ditch the cheese for this time, and save it to do a whole generation’s worth of cheeses (Miss Brie, Miss Cheddar, Miss Parmesan, etc…)

i doubt we would ever do an entire generation of cheese because the icons would look too similar, and there wouldn’t be much room for variety if someone didn’t want to be a cheese. the same problem with herbs.

I love the idea of Miss Fondue, Miss Hummus, and Miss Caviar, and some of the aforementioned ideas of Miss Sushi, Miss Bruschetta, Miss Cheese, and Miss Crab Cake. Cute! (and tasty to boot!)

I love Miss Pig in a Blanket but i think i only love it b/c that is my honey’s fave Hors d’oeurve. So maybe it has a special place in my heart.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that loves Miss Hot Wing! Another one I would have loved to have been if I had been a Bee (FH and I have gone on many a “beer and wings” date ). I’m also a big fan of Miss Fondue - could be a very cute icon.
Miss Fondue for sure! and Miss Sushi is just darling… Miss Dumpling is way cute, too.
Another vote for Miss Fondue! And I didn’t vote last time but I also like Miss Satay (bc I’m Indonesian and who doesn’t love meat on a stick?) & Miss Spanakopita!

What about Miss Antipasto? I liked that one. Or Miss Empanada?
Deviled eggs, tapas, bisque, gazpacho, avacado dip, pesto?? I really enjoy fondue and I also second scone and tea sandwich
What about doing a series of candy characters? Travel icons of some sort might be fun too!
I think Caviar sounds fabulous. Or what about different stones? Diamond, Emerald, Ruby, Saphire, Opal, Pearl?
Yeah, I’m going to voice my proposal again for “Miss Antipasto” — so delish, could be a cute little tray of goodies!

I think all the viewr requests were alot better than the original ones. I am a single reader so maybe it’s just me but I hardly knew any of the apps that were presented in the top 8…but all of the viewer suggestions I knew and LOVED…especially hot wings, how can that not be a great icon!

what I LOVE LOVE LOVE about these is that there are so many culturally and economically diverse options. I think that this is a great way to shake it up here in the hive and encourage everything from a “caviar” bride down to a “slider” bride….

i totally was going to see if that was a possibility when i applied to be a bee this winter. i am in LOVE with hot wings. no joke, i could eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a daily basis. haha… i’m even ordering wings for our wedding separate from our catering.

I vote no on the sliders, b/c Mrs. Bee, I’ve heard that the moniker is partly to do with what you mentioned…
I think Miss Fondue is best, it sounds more elegant than the others, and more bridal I guess. besides, brides love being cheesey!
A whole generation of cheese bees! I’m so jealous that won’t be me. I’m going to go cry into my guacamole to cheer myself up.
