Soul Mates for Your Heels

July 31st, 2008 @ 10:01 am by Mrs. Flamingo

I’m a real fan of stilettos. I have some in pink, turquoise, taupe, brown, black… the list goes on. Not only are they elegant, but simply beautiful, especially in bright shades. Though sometimes, especially at outdoor weddings, they sink into grass, get stuck in cracks and get ruined by pebbles.

Well that’s all history with the SoleMates High Heeler™.

SoleMates are compatible with the majority of skinny heels. They then increase the heel area, preventing you from getting stuck in grass, cobblestones, sidewalk grates, and more. They grip securely to your shoe without damaging the heel or compromising the aesthetics of your shoe. Interesting!

So if you plan on trekking outside to take wedding pictures, slip them on, and save your wedding heels from damage. You can take them off when you’re safely back indoors.

I’m really liking this idea… maybe I should buy a whole case! ;)

I read about these somewhere else and thought about getting these. I found the most wonderful stiletto shoes for my wedding, problem is I’m getting married on grass. I would love to hear a review from someone who has tried these!

I approve of the clear ones, but not the white ones. Looks like the heel has a cast on it

i’ve ordered 5 pairs of these for my brother’s wedding this weekend (outdoors, on grass!)– i will report back afterward as to how they fared.

b/c my heels are *spikes* clearly made to aerate lawns, not walk down aisles…

great idea, but then what’s the point of having hot heels when you have to put plastic tips on them?

I just checked out the price. At $19.95 per pair, they don’t come cheap!

Cool! I’m interested to see what this “Mini” version will look like (their site says it’s coming soon).

@Alison: I wore stilettos for my wedding and when I took pictures outdoors my heels got ruined. I rather wear these little grips temporarily and have my 100$ satin shoes still in good shape.

Don’t get me wrong I wouldnt wear them all day long ;)

What are the odds!!! I’m having an outdoor ceremony and was stressing about ruining my brand new gorgeous shoes in the first 5 minutes. Then, I read your blog, visit their website and find out that there’s a company selling these beauties in my itsy-bitsy town. Was it fate?…

I was at a wedding last weekend and the wedding planner provided a pair for EVERY female guest! They saved the day! My brand new shoes still look brand new! When we got into the tent (with a floor), I I kept mine on because they made my shoes more comfortable.

I just ordered some black pairs for my darker colored shoes. So excited!!!!

Without compromising the aesthetics of your shoe? I beg to differ - they look pretty silly! :-p

When you are in the grass, they disappear!

They are seriously amazing. I bought my first pair last week and can not imagine life without them. Amazing!

I just ordered the black style too…will report upon wearing them.

by the way, the price seemed high until I realized they are virtually indestructible. You dont need more than one pair of clear/black unless you want a pair for each of your shoes? You can take them off and put them on really easily. I was surprised…pleasantly.
