Soul Mates for Your Heels

July 31st, 2008 @ 10:01 am by Mrs. Flamingo

I’m a real fan of stilettos. I have some in pink, turquoise, taupe, brown, black… the list goes on. Not only are they elegant, but simply beautiful, especially in bright shades. Though sometimes, especially at outdoor weddings, they sink into grass, get stuck in cracks and get ruined by pebbles.

Well that’s all history with the SoleMates High Heeler™.

SoleMates are compatible with the majority of skinny heels. They then increase the heel area, preventing you from getting stuck in grass, cobblestones, sidewalk grates, and more. They grip securely to your shoe without damaging the heel or compromising the aesthetics of your shoe. Interesting!

So if you plan on trekking outside to take wedding pictures, slip them on, and save your wedding heels from damage. You can take them off when you’re safely back indoors.

I’m really liking this idea… maybe I should buy a whole case! ;)

I read about these somewhere else and thought about getting these. I found the most wonderful stiletto shoes for my wedding, problem is I’m getting married on grass. I would love to hear a review from someone who has tried these!

I approve of the clear ones, but not the white ones. Looks like the heel has a cast on it

i’ve ordered 5 pairs of these for my brother’s wedding this weekend (outdoors, on grass!)– i will report back afterward as to how they fared.

b/c my heels are *spikes* clearly made to aerate lawns, not walk down aisles…

great idea, but then what’s the point of having hot heels when you have to put plastic tips on them?

I just checked out the price. At $19.95 per pair, they don’t come cheap!

@Alison: I wore stilettos for my wedding and when I took pictures outdoors my heels got ruined. I rather wear these little grips temporarily and have my 100$ satin shoes still in good shape.

Don’t get me wrong I wouldnt wear them all day long ;)

What are the odds!!! I’m having an outdoor ceremony and was stressing about ruining my brand new gorgeous shoes in the first 5 minutes. Then, I read your blog, visit their website and find out that there’s a company selling these beauties in my itsy-bitsy town. Was it fate?…

I was at a wedding last weekend and the wedding planner provided a pair for EVERY female guest! They saved the day! My brand new shoes still look brand new! When we got into the tent (with a floor), I I kept mine on because they made my shoes more comfortable.

I just ordered some black pairs for my darker colored shoes. So excited!!!!

Without compromising the aesthetics of your shoe? I beg to differ - they look pretty silly! :-p

When you are in the grass, they disappear!

They are seriously amazing. I bought my first pair last week and can not imagine life without them. Amazing!

I just ordered the black style too…will report upon wearing them.

by the way, the price seemed high until I realized they are virtually indestructible. You dont need more than one pair of clear/black unless you want a pair for each of your shoes? You can take them off and put them on really easily. I was surprised…pleasantly.

I am selling these for $5 each. I have 100. 75 clear and 25 black. I am willing to break them up. please email me and I would love to help a bride. They have never been worn. I bought them for my outdoor reception, but we are changing it so we have a floor under our tent so we do not need to give these to our female guests. Please let me know.

I just wanted to post and let everyone know that I just got married and to be certain, I tried both Soulmates and its competitor from England, Heel Stoppers- and Heel Stoppers won hands down!!!! The wedding was fairly damp grass but I had to wear my favorite pair of Louboutins so I took every precaution- and the Heel Stoppers had a much better base and actually protected the whole base of the heel. I didn’t like how the Soulmates let water and dirt in through hole in middle. Plus Heelstoppers are cheaper. I had to order them from England, but you can get them now in the states (I keep them on me for every wedding just in case!) from http://www.divadilemmas.com
I hope this helps ladies!!!

Hi, I found an even better product than the above two. They are called Heels Above. You can get two pairs for the price of one in two different sizes, so you can have an option to wear different size heals. They sell for $12.00 for two pairs, and come in clear or black. They even do discounted prices on orders for 10 or more pairs. Which are great for your bridal party and even guests. They can be found at http://www.heelsabove.com.

This was the worst product I used during my wedding. They did not fit my heels or any of my bridesmaids heels. They continually slid off, making it uncomfortable to walk on any surface. The company claimed that their product does not fit all heel sizes, but if the SoulMates did not fit any of our heels, it proves the product is worthless. So I ended up ruining my shoes on my wedding and they refused to send me a refund for the product. I would not buy these as they are a waste of money.
