With all the stuff we were trying to pack in on one day, it meant that the Toucan Wedding Day had to start REALLY EARLY… like hair-and-makeup-was-there-at-7:30am kind of early.
Lypor is putting my face on…
While I was still getting made-up, lots of people started showing up to my parents’ house…
Shoes, shoes, lots of shoes! (there were actually way more than this at one point)
You are probably thinking, “Wait, why were so many people coming to your parents’ house?!” For now, I’ll just tell you there was something to see…
But seriously, it was kind of turning into a mad house!
My aunts were busy finishing up our bouquets and other florals:
Some of my uncles just decided to watch tv:
And my cousin decided to have a mini jam session with one of his daughters:
There were flower girls running up and down the stairs:
Some hiding in the rooms:
And some playing pool with the ring bearer:
And during all this, I was surprisingly very calm:
I think I was probably just overwhelmed with all the love and support from all of my family! Some of them traveled quite far that day!
Soon, it was time to put on THE dress! There’s something about being the bride on my wedding day that made me almost useless. Never mind that I had someone do my hair and makeup, but,
1. I didn’t carry my dress up the stairs.
My two sisters are carrying the dress up for me.
2. I somehow needed 4 people to help me put on my dress. Weirdly, it only took 1 person before!

3. I also couldn’t put my shoes on…
After I was all dressed and ready, Robert took a few portraits of me,
And all that was left to do was wait…
hehe, do you see the funny in this?
What am I waiting for? My groom. ![]()
Ooooooh! Perhaps, THAT is why everyone’s at my parents’ house…
Next up on our happy adventure: Mr. Toucan Proves Himself.
