I haven’t had hair this short since I was 10 years old. It could take some getting used to… :)Anyone else planning on doing the post-wedding chop?

I wanted to do it too but all my friends and my hairdresser, said no, I’m not suitable for the chop =( bummers.
i looove it! i want to do it too, but everyone thinks i should keep it long.
Oh, I was SO excited to get my hair cut (post wedding) - I talked about it all the time. Afterwards I finaly felt like myself again.

Your hair looks fabulous!!! I CANNOT wait to chop my hair. I already told my fiance to not get used to this length because once the wedding is over, it’s gone!!! Maybe I should add in my vows (for richer for poorer, in short hair or in long,…).

oh you took the words right out of my mouth. I say at least once a day… I cannot wait to get my haircut after the wedding… it looks great!
So cute! I grew out my hair super long for the wedding and was all set to chop it off afterwards, but now I’m chickening out! I can’t bear the thought of parting with hair that took so long to grow out.
I can’t wait to cut my hair after the wedding! I’ve always liked my hair short and am only growing it out for the updo!

Mr. Av wants me to keep mine long for the rest of my life. I don’t think that is going to happen, but I think I will keep it for a few years at least. I just love how sassy and short yours looks!

I can not WAIT to chop off my hair. I’m contemplating whether I’ll have time to do it on the Sunday after the wedding before we leave for the honeymoon!

I chopped 7 inches off my hair after the wedding. No really, like RIGHT AFTER the wedding. I went from the salon to the airport for our honeymoon. I haven’t had hair this short in 20 years and I love it!

Yep I did! It felt great having shorter, more layered hair.. =)
Love it! I find this so amusing….why do we do this? I had to force myself to wait to cut my hair. two weeks after we got home, I cut about 10″ off!
I did this on my honeymoon! Chopped at least 7″ off and got my straight fringe back too. Definitely looking younger again…

When I met FH, I had hair almost as short as his (and he’s in the military). He loves my hair short and I do too - I just happened to be too afraid to find a new hair salon this year, so my hair grew halfway down my back. Oops.
I’m going to do the PRE-wedding chop! I want to be a short haired bride.
I hope all of you choppers are considering donating the hair to Locks of Love. If you have 10 inches, you can get it sent to an organization that makes wigs for kids who have cancer.
I’ve done it twice. Where I live you can get a free cut when you particpate. I’ve met two of my very favorite stylists this way.
So don’t throw those locks away and some very cute, very sick little girl will thank you!
@Doctor Girl: I wish I could have donated my hair. 
Unfortunately no one will accept permed hair. It breaks to easy, and they can’t make wigs out of it.
Also, thanks everyone. I’m still getting used to it, so it’s nice to see everyone else likes the new ‘do!
I can’t wait to chop my hair after the wedding. I’ve had my hair longer than this before, but it really just gets on my nerves now. I can’t wait to both cut it AND change the color!
I’m donating mine, too, but I may wait a few months, since my man likes the long locks…I try to convince him how much easier life will be though with shorter hair….less planning around showering, etc. 
The 2nd day back from our honeymoon I had an appointment to cut it all off! I love short hair and had grown it out a bit for the wedding. So happy to cut it off!

as for me, i am going for a pre-wedding chop, i really cant stand it having past the top of my shoulders - going to have a chin length bob for my wedding.

My Wedding was in Aug came home from our honeymoon and went to the salon the next day mid back hair gone i now have a short pixie and love it so does my hubby thank god.
