Program Basket

August 8th, 2008 @ 4:15 pm by Mrs. Sundae

I am officially entering the “tying up loose ends” phase of the planning process, and there are a lot of ends to be tied! I went on a mad dash around town last weekend to find a basket for our programs, and while I was at World Market I came across this:

I was immediately drawn to the pattern for obvious reasons, then read that it’s made from 100% recycled paper, and then saw the price tag - $6.99! But what is with all those strings and what in the world is a “taper basket?” I must have been staring at it like a confused baboon because a friendly sales associate walked over to explain that you essentially lace the sides together, resulting in cute bows around the edges. Sold! Here is what it looks like out of the package:

It made a lot more sense when I saw it that way! It’s big enough to fit two rows of programs, so they’ll all be in one happy little box together (a friend will also be passing them out).

It looks a lot deeper in that picture than it really is, but it works perfectly for the Sundae programs. Have any of you started the “loose ends” phase of things yet?

That is an absolute great find and it fits perfectly into your design theme. You have to feel like every little wedding find you discover ahead of schedule is such a VICTORY! I missed out on a lot of little details because of disorganization):
