Simply Delicious Cake

August 8th, 2008 @ 12:21 pm by Mrs. Avocado

After the Hotel 1000 tasting came cake tasting time. I don’t think I realized how much I love cake until this experience. I, sadly, ended up throwing a lot of this cake away because I was attempting to finish all the cake on my own as I live in a household full of gluten/dairy/egg free people and I could NOT use the rule of moderation when it came to this stuff. From left to right, chocolate white chocolate, strawberry white chocolate, and chocolate fudge cake.

Simply Desserts in Seattle gave me a list of flavors and I am overwhelmed by the 17 options I have to choose from. So you choose 8 flavors for us.

Here is the list of the flavors to choose from.

What flavors should our cakes be?

8 flavors seems like a lot. Are you doing a couple of tiers or are you having a cake buffet? I voted for the chocolate fudge, because that was what we had for our groom’s cake, and it was so good!

I think you need to have at least a vanilla, a chocolate, and a carrot - because those three alone will appease everyone. Any you have after that will just be a bonus.

I have a feeling that by the end of the day, every cake will have votes for it! Maybe you should do another poll to see which flavor of cake people wouldn’t eat, and eliminate them that way.

I’ll buy anything at a grocery store that has both “chocolate” and “raspberry” anywhere on the package.. but I must say, if I was at a wedding that had Lemon Blueberry Cake, I’d have to give that a try!

@kandaceandjason: @Emilie: No, I am really going to use all 8! We are doing a cake buffet, so we will have 8 different yummy cakes to choose from. It’s going to be amazing.

Where’s the vanilla? I can’t think wedding cake without at least some white cake

@Deborah: The strawberry white chocolate is actually a lot like white cake. It has a white chocolatey icing, but the cake itself is really wonderful. I can see why it is their bestseller!
