A Ring… Box

August 12th, 2008 @ 6:05 pm by Mrs. Pinot Noir

When Mr. Pinot Noir and I went to the Fairfield County Irish Festival to find his wedding ring, we also bought our ring “box” from Celtic Revival. Instead of a pillow, our ringbearer will carry this beautiful hand-carved wood box. This way we can keep the box after the wedding as a special and useful memento, which makes it an ecofriendly choice too!The square box is 3.5″ x 3.5″ x 2″.

How will you transport your rings down the aisle? Will you use a Paloma’s Nest Tiny Text Bowl like Mrs. Tiramisu? A bird’s nest like Mrs. Radish? A transformer like Miss Green Tea? A teddy bear like Mrs. Emerald?

I’m doing a bird’s nest to go with our lovebird theme.

We’re using our bestman’s pocket. (as in we’re not having a ring bearer ;) :p )

we just had the bestman pocket them, but I really like your box! I just really like nice small boxes and tins, and sort of collect them.

I love that you are buying from Celtic Revival! My wedding band is coming from them.

We’re using a round alabaster box from Pier 1. I can’t wait to see how pretty our rings will be in there!

Ooh, I really love that ring box idea! My father is a very talented woodworker, so I may just steal this, although replacing the lovely celtic design with our initials and wedding date.

my husband is from hawaii so we used a box very similar to yours — a koa wood box with a hawaiian quilt pattern carved on the lid. i now use it to keep my rings when i’m not wearing them.
