Girl who can’t dress herself is!

I kicked off the morning of the wedding at my parents’ house, while Mr. Penguin had the privilege of getting ready in the Honeymoon Suite. I had a pretty quiet morning. A quick hair appointment, a visit with a good friend, a stop for a sandwich, and I was back home by 10:45 AM to put on my game face.

My makeup artist came armed with barely enough ammo to put me together:

And she got to work. I loved being able to get my makeup done at home. Being able to see and hear all the hubbub of our family and friends all throughout the house really raised my excitement and anticipation levels.

Even my boob zits got the royal treatment that day.

Around noon, my girlfriends arrived! They checked out the sweet blue topaz ring that Mr. Penguin got me earlier that week.

Then Sarah whisked it off to snap some shots of it, and other little details.

We all headed upstairs to get ready! I zipped up the ladies, and then they all helped me into my dress.

Holding up my dress while everyone dressed me was incredibly exhausting…

So my MOH offered to help hold it up for me.

Help! Stranger danger!

Some last minute touches, we were ready to head out!

Granny Panties, Check! A quick cool off and we were REALLY out the door!
