Budget-Friendly Hair Flower?

August 14th, 2008 @ 2:35 pm by Mrs. Coconut

I was internet shopping on J.Crew last night, I mean what else can I do nowadays, and I stumbled across this chiffon flower hair pin. Now, I know this isn’t a Jennifer Behr masterpiece, but for someone on a serious wedding budget, this could be the perfect hair flower! With J.Crew’s lenient return policy, why not give it a go? Who knows, it could be gorgeous!!

**Disclaimer: I do not work for J.Crew. I’m merely obsessed with their merchandise. I do not guarantee this merchandise is perfect for your wedding, I merely suggest. :)

Where do you go to find cheap accessories for your wedding?

That is cute! I’m obsessed with another great source for budget brides is the Etsy shop Designed by Tijusai:

The pieces are delicate and etheral and feel very romantic but still at great prices. If I didn’t already have my order in at Twigs and Honey (which is booked for MONTHS), I would definitely buy from this shop!

I’m using fake roses from Michaels in my hair - they look so accurate that my dad was confused as to why the flower hadn’t died yet because it was sitting on my table for so long!

This is timely - I practically burned my hand off last night with a glue gun, bobby pins, and a few fake flowers from Michaels… I think I’ll head to J Crew today instead ;)

If all you want is a flower, find a good fake one, get 5 bobby pins and pin it to your head through the bottom petals. I do this all the time for dance competitions and it’s so much more secure (and cheap) than buying a premade flower clip.

One word. “Etsy” specifically Diane Phillips at DK Designs Hawaii and her clay flowers.

Diane made the flowers for our wedding and I wear them to work now that the wedding is over. :)

I just ordered my bridesmaids dresses from a dress designer that had the amazing flower pins like j.crew at half the price!!!

Luckily the designer sells her flowers online!

The flowers are almost identical to the ones in the jcrew catalog! So beautiful and chic. I got the lilac magnolia flower for my bridesmaids to wear on their dresses!
