So much pressure!
I’m so excited that I have been given this opportunity to share my wedding planning with you all. I have to admit I’m a little nervous - I have been writing on a personal blog for years but writing as a “bee” is so different. I am now writing about a specific topic that is completely new to me. I have never attempted to plan anything remotely close to something as huge as a wedding, and I am still having panic attacks just thinking about those three terrifying letters - D.I.Y.
When I was asked to choose my Weddingbee character, I couldn’t choose between two favorites, sushi and martini (this is going to be a common theme for the next 7 months, let me just tell you!). In the end I chose to be Miss Martini because well - I just love martinis! Grey Goose dirty martinis are my favorite, and I actually ordered one (and then another one) as my first drink after being introduced on Weddingbee during dinner with my girlfriends. I paid for it the next day with fat fingers and swollen eyelids from all the salty olives, but man it was so worth it.
Thanks for coming along with me on my journey. It will either be great, or it will be a disaster (I pray not), but I’m excited and ready to dive into wedding planning.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I did hear that the owners of the venetian did have another venue but we didn’t get to check that one out. I’m sure its just as gorgeous if not better! Where is the seasons located?
finally another NJ bee! looking forward to reading about your wedding planning adventures. i’ve heard the venetian is lovely, though ive never been there. If it’s owned by the same people as Seasons, it must be good! (Seasons is in Washington Township)
d and miss martini - correct, seasons is in washington twp… which is up in bergen county. i think it’s exit 168 or so? i’ve heard great things about the venetian - a few girls i work with have gotten married there - and i’ve attended a wedding at seasons before, so i know we are both in for great days!! congratulations to you as well!
Dirrrrty all the way with like five olives. Kind of like a mini-meal. Hmm…maybe I’ll drink my lunch today. Juuust kidding (kind of).
@Smithie71: i love mine with three olives too! but i usually forget to ask for three and sometimes when they give me two, it makes me feel sad. hahaha.

welcome! I have been to a crazy amount of weddings and the Seasons wedding i went to had the best cocktail hour ever!! The food is so good! You are definitely going to have fun at your tasting!

He is the calm, logical and number crunching finance guy. I can’t even multiply double digit numbers in my head and I am so indecisive that trying to choose between light green or slightly lighter green paper stresses me out (Wedding planning is going to be soooo much fun). We both find great joy in nabbing great seats at the movie theater for a blockbuster movie on opening weekend, and we are both absolutely crazy about snowboarding. And he loves to cook, I love to eat!
