I’m SOOO excited! I finally got to see my sari and veil/dupatta! I can barely contain my excitement and want to show everyone. Sadly, Grandma and Momma Marg have banned me from showing anyone my outfits or jewelry before the wedding. Sigh. I guess something about “evil eye” and an element of surprise. So, here’s a little snapshot of my sari and my veil.
Mr. Marg don’t you dare peak! Even if it’s just a little taste, you are banned from viewing this!
My sari - it’s champagne colored silk covered in crystals and has a paisley pattern on it. It’s HEAVY! I am not sure how I’m gonna walk around in it for hours…
My veil - The color looks totally different since it’s photographed on the ugly grey carpet in the store. It’s a sheer champagne color, cathedral length with scalloped borders.
I love my outfits so much! It’s a little nerve wracking not to see your wedding outfits until less than 2 weeks before your wedding, but my designer really outdid herself. If anyone is looking to get a custom made sari - Bhavana from Mehr is the woman to see.

Wow…the detail is gorgeous!!! Mine is a complete surprise (except for my blog-readers)…the only one who knows is my mom and the dressmaker!!!

Absolutely stunning! And yes, I’m keeping my dress a secret (with a few exceptions) until the wedding.
I’m not keeping my dress a secret except from my future hubby. That was until my dad asked not to know anything about it either! I thought it was just the cutest thing!
I didn’t keep it a secret. I am just so excited about it!! I emailed a picture to a bunch of girlfriends and now they tell me I should’ve kept it a secret until the wedding day. I figured that most people will forget by then because it’s not as important to them as it is to me. Should I have kept it a secret?
It’s beautiful! My mom forbade me from posting anything more than a snippet of my lehnga too

i now wish that i hadnt sent the pic file of me in the dress sample to all my bms. since i got the actual dress, only one bm has seen pics and that was bc i needed help picking jewelry.

Thanks guys! Initially I fought the element of surprise, but now I’m glad this a surprise Its good to hear that other brides are doing the same!

I’ve shown a handful of people my dress, but now that it’s due to arrive tomorrow, I wanna show the world. It’s so hard for me to keep a secret from the FH. I’ll just have to bite my tongue. Can wait to see the full ensemble Miss. Margarita!

Hi! The fabric for your sari looks beautiful! I’m actually looking to have a custom sari made (I live in the Bay Area), so going to L.A. would work fine for me. Any chance we could see pictures of the rest of the sari? I’d love to get an idea of what’s available before flying to L.A.! Thanks!
