About Mrs. Jasmine

To the UK for a Wknd!

August 21st, 2008 @ 12:29 pm by Mrs. Jasmine

Hello Bee readers! I want to apologize for the temporary lull in the “Jasmine Wedding Story“. Mr. Jasmine and I are off on a big trip tomorrow:

We’re heading to England for the wedding of our very dear friends!

The wedding is in Middlesbrough, so we’ll be flying into London and then renting a car to drive the rest of the way. We maxed out our vacation days on our own wedding, so this is going to sadly be a short weekend trip (Thurs-Sun), but it will be a fun adventure nonetheless! Mr. Jasmine and I spent a summer in London after our first year of law school, so we have lots of wonderful memories and are excited to head back! :)

What’s the farthest you’ve ever traveled for a wedding?

I love London! I am so jealous. If I could have REALLY had my way, my wedding would have been in England. Have fun! The furthest that I have traveled for a wedding is to St. Louis :)

I second Miss Peacock! I lived in London for two years, the first year when I was 11 and the second when I was 17, both of which were huge formative experiences for me - what an amazing city! Now it’s a long-term career goal of mine to somehow get back there for a few years. The furthest I’ve traveled for a wedding is Cancun. My brother went back to London for a friend’s wedding a few years ago though! I think I’ll encourage him to have a DW in London if he ever gets married. :)

We went to a Riviera Maya wedding this past spring. It was a trainwreck of a wedding, but a good reason to get away.

middlesborough is very near where i’m from! it’s pretty different to london where i now live, but fun in its own sweet way! enjoy the drive, and beware - it’s a holiday weekend this weekend in england, and the roads will be chocker block!
bon voyage!
(and the furthest i’ve travelled to a wedding would be from england to Washington state, to my own wedding last summer!)

The farthest I’ve ever traveled for a wedding was from Southern California to Northern California :)
