I'm a full believer in the "Life is Short," mantra - and therefore, eat lots of dark chocolate. I'm a Geographer by degree and nerd by choice. I cook to the sound of French and Portuguese music even though I speak neither. I love road trips, camping, hiking, and capturing life through the lens of my camera. Mr. Espresso and I are high school sweethearts and I am so blessed to be this amazing man's future wife.
About Mrs. Espresso

Monday as I was about to leave for work, I received a text from our photographer saying our engagement photos were ready and up on her blog. What?! Spend the last 10 minutes doing my hair or looking at our pictures? Um ya- I went to work that day without even running a brush through my hair… but the stray strands and knots were totally worth it. Our photographer, Sandra Salisbury, is so awesome. She’s a redhead, she drinks coffee like a woman after my own heart, and she totally knows how to rock a camera. And she’s affordable. We love her.

Are you ready for this crazy duo?

Mr. E and I wanted an urban setting for our engagement shoot since we’ll be in the mountains for our wedding. So we chose an area by the old Lido Theater and Newport Bay. This was in a “window” of a parking garage down there… which is where we ended up taking most of our pictures.

Gotta have shoe shots

The next two pictures were taken in a dark staircase within the parking garage. We seriously couldn’t get out of there.

I knew I wanted something bright to wear for the photos but didn’t want to spend a lot of money. So a couple days before our engagement shoot, I headed on over to Buffalo Exchange and found this yellow jacket for $11.

Thanks for looking at some of the shots from our engagement shoot. We’re trying to figure out which one to use for our wedding so let us know if you have a favorite. And if you’re feeling adventurous, mosey on over here and check out our slideshow.

I agree with Mrs. Bee - I love the picture of you two with the frame!

I also love the shoe shot. Our photographer did one for my fiance and I during our engagement shoot. My grandmother was completely confused as to why anyone would want pictures of their feet!

Love the frame. May have to steal that idea. We’re having our engagement photos taken in an art museum.

@MsAnge: haha I could see my grandma saying the same thing
@Miss Peacock: I was doing some serious LOL’ing. Mrs Peacock, in the Conservatory, with the candlestick
@ceciliap: That’s so awesome! You’re going to get such great photos in the Art Museum.
@Darlene: yep, every time I go to my hair stylist I just tell her to do what she wants… she’s the pro not me :)
@beckynoel: Thank- you! I had to pick that song because it talks about coffee and getting married :)
@Ambrosia: Totally go ahead and steal it. Right when we were leaving for the shoot I looked up on my wall and had a light bulb moment… so glad I did- we ended up having so much fun with it
