Dressing Up the Bar!

August 25th, 2008 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Candy Corn

Since we’re having our guests choose from nine flavors of Jones Soda for our toast, I thought it would be wise to make a sign for the soda table with all of the flavors being offered. I wonder which flavor will be the first to go…

I’m totally snagging an Orange & Cream soda before anyone else can!

Here’s a close-up of the sign:

Mr. Candy Corn and I snagged these brown & blue straws from Ikea that guests can sip soda from while being oh-so-stylish and matching our wedding colors!

I stumbled upon this candy corn takeout box at Michael’s and decided it would be perfect for displaying a box of candy corn treats at the bar with the sodas. Woo hoo, Weddingbee pride!

Is anyone else using an alternative to champagne for their toast?

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do instead of champagne, since neither of our families really drink! This is perfect!!

We’re doing a traditional champagne toast but we’re doing DIY Jones Soda bottles for the rehearsal dinner. I made soda labels with my new last name instead of “Jones Soda”. Each bottle will have a personalized message to each person (our RD is for immediate family, readers, & bridal party members only). Then I just need to hope I find the Jones soda bottle bulk pack at BJs (which is a hit or a miss), plop the label on, then I’m good to go!

I love this idea!! I’m not a big drinker, and I was thinking of doing away with the champagne toast entirely (good for the budget too!). I was going to have Jones Soda at the reception anyway, so this might be a cute toast alternative.

Adorable! We’re stickin’ with Champagne and serving sparkling cider alongside for the non-drinkers!

We’re doing a local sparkling hard cider… I *love* it (and that’s saying a lot because I love champagne, too)! It’s cidery.com.

You know how much I love your Jones Soda idea. I am claiming orange & cream too. I will hide it under my dress during the ceremony if I have to.

mmm…. green apple jones soda :)
love it! what a good alternative to alcohol! my side of the family are not drinkers either, so we’re trying to figure out what to serve that isn’t as cheesy as sparkling apple juice. i may steal this idea :p
