Penguin Recap: More? Seriously?

August 26th, 2008 @ 2:22 pm by Mrs. Penguin

After we settled in for dinner and tucked into our steaks and salmon, Sarah and Jonilyn grabbed us for a few more minutes of photography in the vineyards as the sun was setting. Mr. Penguin was not a happy camper at this point. The wine and food was over here, and we were going over there, and frankly, this made no sense to him whatsoever! Oh, Mr. Penguin. So sorry. But how would we have ever gotten these shots if he was busy stuffing fish in his face?

This photo was taken mere minutes after I tripped over some wire and did a virtual face plant in the dirt. I trip/fall/eat it on what seems like a daily basis, and our wedding day apparently was no different than any other day. When I fell, I was in such shock, so I screamed, “Don’t take a picture of this!” Now, I kind of wish that they took one, because it would have been all kinds of ridiculous to relive. Luckily, the dirt brushed off of my dress with no problems.

Step lightly, Clumserella!

Among the vines, we took a few photos. I’m glad we were able to capture these, as I feel like both Mr. Penguin and I were more relaxed after the ceremony than before it, and it showed on our faces!

Your steak is getting cold, Mr. Peng! Smile through your disappointment!

Mr. Penguin was able to return to his steak and salmon, which was just as delicious as when he left it! Whew!

We actually took this series below in the cellar before the ceremony, but I forgot to share them earlier.

Just as she did during our engagement session, Sarah had us strike a “serious” pose. The serious photos are among my favorites, because I am the anti-serious, so they seem really funny to me.

Sarah and Jonilyn then shut the lights off and played around with their remote flashes. We had no idea how great these would turn out! We ended up using a picture similar to this one below for our thank you cards! They were definitely among our most favorite pictures from the wedding.

Did your fiance/husband get really tired of all the picture taking he had to endure throughout the engagement/wedding process? Mr. Penguin sure did. His only reward when it was all over: whiny Asian wife.

Relive the day of the Penguins…
1. Morning, Sunshine! | 2. Ready, Men?

Is it possible for your re-cap photos to keep getting better? Seriously BEAUTIFUL shots among the vines and the wine barrells!

Mr. Onion was a great sport as we only “posed” for photos pre-ceremony. When we went across the street for B&J they just followed but didn’t pose us. Mr. P was clearly a great sport and I’m sure you’re thrilled to have all these stunning images to remember the day by and share with your kids.

These pictures are yummy. :)
LOOOOOOVE the last one. We didn’t do too many posed photos of just the two of us- we just didn’t have the time. That’s exactly why we did an after shoot though! :)

ROFLOL. I heart you, Pengy. I really truly do. Whiny asian wife is pretty hot compensation for a few minutes away from steak and fish. At least that’s what I’ll be telling Mr. HC.

I love them!! My finance hates taking pictures so I’m a bit worried about that part… I’m hoping that once we do the e-shoot he’ll realize it’s not so bad… I love the last one too, I might have to get my photographer to recreate that one!

Fantastic again, pengy! We’ve only had an engagement shoot so for, but mr. lulubelle was pretty frazzled and crabby by the end of it. I told him it was training for the big day!

I think keeping Mr. busylizzy away from food would equal asking for a divorce a mere 35 minutes after getting married. You are one brave bird!! ;)

I know what you mean about “whiny Asian wife.” That’s pretty much what my Mr. got at the end of the deal. But you know what? TOTALLY WORTH IT (for the awesome photos that is!).

Love the photos ~ thanks for sharing!

love this!

i’m thinking my FI will act the same way……it’ll probably be like a tooth extraction for him.

i’ve decided not to tell him that i plan to have a photo session of just him and i during the reception or possibly afterwards, bc i dont believe we will have time to get a good personal session right after the ceremony with all the other group photos we need to take.

i think that may go over better once we’re there and it seems a bit more spur of the moment… ;)
