After we settled in for dinner and tucked into our steaks and salmon, Sarah and Jonilyn grabbed us for a few more minutes of photography in the vineyards as the sun was setting. Mr. Penguin was not a happy camper at this point. The wine and food was over here, and we were going over there, and frankly, this made no sense to him whatsoever! Oh, Mr. Penguin. So sorry. But how would we have ever gotten these shots if he was busy stuffing fish in his face?
This photo was taken mere minutes after I tripped over some wire and did a virtual face plant in the dirt. I trip/fall/eat it on what seems like a daily basis, and our wedding day apparently was no different than any other day. When I fell, I was in such shock, so I screamed, “Don’t take a picture of this!” Now, I kind of wish that they took one, because it would have been all kinds of ridiculous to relive. Luckily, the dirt brushed off of my dress with no problems.
Among the vines, we took a few photos. I’m glad we were able to capture these, as I feel like both Mr. Penguin and I were more relaxed after the ceremony than before it, and it showed on our faces!

Your steak is getting cold, Mr. Peng! Smile through your disappointment!
Mr. Penguin was able to return to his steak and salmon, which was just as delicious as when he left it! Whew!
We actually took this series below in the cellar before the ceremony, but I forgot to share them earlier.
Just as she did during our engagement session, Sarah had us strike a “serious” pose. The serious photos are among my favorites, because I am the anti-serious, so they seem really funny to me.
Sarah and Jonilyn then shut the lights off and played around with their remote flashes. We had no idea how great these would turn out! We ended up using a picture similar to this one below for our thank you cards! They were definitely among our most favorite pictures from the wedding.
Did your fiance/husband get really tired of all the picture taking he had to endure throughout the engagement/wedding process? Mr. Penguin sure did. His only reward when it was all over: whiny Asian wife.
Relive the day of the Penguins…
