All Tied-Up!

August 28th, 2008 @ 6:08 pm by Mrs. Cookie

You voted. We listened. With 86% of the vote, tie it is for Mr. Cookie!

On Monday, I took the day off from work to run wedding errands. On my list to do was finding ties. I had a small budget for the purchase - between $10-$20 per tie. I went to Men’s Wearhouse, a local outlet mall, then finally Nordstrom Rack, where I hit the mother load!

Since Mr. Cookie is wearing a silver vest, he wanted a silver tie to match. Because he was at work, I found two options from which he can choose on the day. Each tie cost $12.95, not bad!

Finding five matching ties was near impossible with the given selection. I wanted blue ties, but could only find two of the same brand. So, I settled on these black ties for $12.95 each. You can’t tell from the picture, but they have a diagonal texture similar to one I bought Mr. Cookie.

After leaving the store, I realized that I had totally forgotten about the fathers’ ties. I am still debating whether I want to get them black ties, the blue ones I found, or just have them wear a tie they already own.

What ties do you think I should get the fathers?

If you are worried about coordinating with what they are wearing and what their wives are wearing, go with a silver and black PRINT. If you arent concerned about coordinating, get your blue on! Finding 2 shouldnt prove TOOO difficult.

I bought the ties for my groomsmen from royalsilkusa.com. They make good ties for a good price.

We don’t have a Nordstrom Rack here…boo!! I love the silver ties! Ooh, and I agree with mdarrah, go for the blue since you only need 2 as opposed to the 5…
