On Tuesday I had my second and last fitting with Mahin at Anna Bè. Although, the alterations are perfect—nothing more to be done than press the wrinkles out—I got a little lump in my throat. The women at Anna Bè felt like my girlfriends and their service was top notch. After I pick up my dress, there will be no more wandering in to say hi, no more trunk shows, and no more perusing their amazing selection of dresses before a fitting. This makes me a little sad. For brides in the Denver metro area, I can’t recommend Anna Bè more highly!
No Mr. Cookies past this point!

I am not a Cookie that likes a puffy bustle, so when Mahin proposed the traditional bustle at my first fitting, I was sold. Here is Mahin pinning the bustle while Mama Cookie takes a photo so that we can remember how to teach my bridesmaids the process later.

Mama Cookie got this shot of the buttons, which is one of my FAVORITE features of the dress! I bought a crochet hook in order to expedite the process of buttoning, but Mahin suggested we ditch the hook for nimble, little fingers instead to avoid breaking the delicate eyelets. (Aunt Flo—remember my words of caution, because once I am in this dress I am not getting out of it until the end of the night!)
Mahin also did a fabulous job of giving the girls a little lift.
Now, she is off to be pressed, and she will arrive at my house week before the wedding. Wow, we are actually getting married!
Did you have a good experience with the bridal shop you purchased your dress from?
