About Mrs. Lemonade

Whether or not Mr. Lemonade and I decided to have a bridal party, there was one thing I was certain of — that my little sister would be standing up there alongside me on W day. Sissy and I are extremely close, which is something I am incredibly thankful for.

Ahh…Who doesn’t love Disney?

We were born 10 years, 2 months, and 2 days apart (she’s the younger one).

Bless her little teenage heart, she is absolutely clueless about weddings – even more than I am! It’s been such a trip helping her get a handle how to throw a bridal shower, understand the need for a budget, and determine the best place to hold my bachelorette to maximize the likelihood that a bouncer will take pity on us and let her in (thus, Vegas is a no-go).

She is the cutest thing ever, and despite the fact that she just entered her freshman year of college, is going through sorority rush, is working part time, and has her own relationship to foster, she has been gracious enough to offer herself (and the limitless energy that comes with youth) up to tackle any wedding related task that needs attention. Thanks for everything, Sissy! I big pink puffy heart you!

Will your maid of honor be your sister?

Close - my MOH will be my niece. She’s 8 years and 18 days younger than me, so she’s more like a little sister than a niece.

my MOHs (yes, i’ll have 2) are my best friends/sisters i never had. i grew up with two older brothers and predominately male cousins, so they are my sisters.

My younger sister is also my MOH. I am really looking forward to it! We were not close at all as children or teenagers and I feel like starting to plan things together has definitely brought us closer already.

Yup, my younger sister will by my matron of honor. Naturally, she loves the sound of the word “matron”…sounds so frumpy. I was her MOH when she got hitched.

I have three sisters, and they’re all 10+ years younger, so I wouldn’t dream of choosing just one for fear of a cat fight! They’ll be involved in smaller ways, and for that we are all thankful :)

My little sister will be my MOH! We’re 3+ years apart (she’s younger).

The only issue with all this is I also have a twin sister. I was her Maid of Honor (she was the first to be married). Then when our younger sister got married, she chose my twin sister as her Matron of Honor, and me as her Maid of Honor. Makes sense, right?

I chose my little sister since she’s never had this honor, and I’m also much closer with her than my twin sister. (Don’t tell my twin sister that last part!) My little sister’s BFF is getting married the same day I am, so this is probably her last chance to by a MOH. I am thrilled and honored that she’s mine. :-)

My 13 years older than me sister is my Matron. Sometimes she’s difficult to deal with and right now she is apparantly suffering from laryngitis for the last THREE WEEKS cause I haven’t heard from her since my shower (which was amazing and I totally kissed her behind after).

I have NO clue what I but I wish I could just ask her to step down cause its SO not worth the added stress.

I BTW didn’t initiate the “would you be my matron” convo…she did and I couldn’t possibly have said no. I’m 2 months away from WD and not one bit happy *sigh*

Sorry about the rant.

My little sister is my MOH and it was an easy choice because she is my one and only sis! We are four years apart but look alike and people often confuse us. Should make for some fun pics!

I am carrying all white flowers, my maids are carrying all hot pink, and my sis will have a combination of white and pink to designate her at the MOH. I am so proud to have her standing beside me! Best of all, she gets along with my FI!!

Little sis is my MOH as well! It’s taken her a little while to get excited about the wedding, but she is warming up slowly and offering to do all kinds of fun stuff.

If I had a sister, I’m sure she would be my MOH but my BFF of 13 years is the closest I’ll ever get to a sister and I’m happy to have her as my MOH. She’s very anti wedding so I’m interested to see how into it she gets but I trust she’ll do a great job when the time comes to get things done (2010 wedding).

I wanted my little sister to be my MOH but she’ll be 14 at the time, so I don’t think she’ll be able to handle the responsibility. So she’ll be a VIP bridesmaid! :D

I have a much younger sister too- 14 years younger! She was thrilled to be in the bridal party, but at 12, would have been no way interested in the responsibility of anything more. I also had Mr. T’s two sisters and my sister-in-law as bridesmaids, and he had my brother and his two brothers as groomsmen. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so much family!

Yes! Also, my three maids. It will be so amazing to be standing up there with my 4 little sisters (not quite as amazing as standing up there with my man, though!).

My younger sister was my MOH. She is 1 year younger and is also my closest friend. She did an amazing job with my Bridal Shower and all of the small “wedding details”. Thanks sis!
