About Mrs. Daffodil

This was the last sunset we enjoyed in Moorea before we bid farewell to the island. The picture is another one of our favorite photos that Mr. D took during our honeymoon!

On day seven or so, Mr. D also began feeling ill. It happened to be the day we were leaving Moorea and heading back to Tahiti for another few days. The plan had been to enjoy the nightlife in downtown Papeete, to visit some of the volcanoes, and to tour some of the more historical sites in Tahiti. We thought we could do it.

We went about trying to make our reservations and getting everything set up. That evening though, Mr. D’s fever got worse, I was still sick, and to top it off, we ran out of aspirin. It was the weekend, and the pharmacies were closed.

At that point, we wanted nothing more than to go home, to be in our own warm comfy bed, and to have a bowl of hot chicken soup. To make a long story short, we made a few calls, and by the grace of God, we were able to change our flights without any extra fees. Before we knew it, we were on a plane. Trust me, nothing felt sweeter than the moment we touched down in LA. We were home, oh sweet, sweet home. smiley101

I’ll leave you with some of our favorite photos from our honeymoon. I feel like they really capture both the beauty of the island as well as our memorable experiences.

Beautiful sunrises over the lagoon…

Doing nothing but relaxing and enjoying each other’s company…

Being lovey dovey newlyweds and not being embarrassed about it…

And enjoying the most gorgeous sunsets upon the clearest waters we have ever seen.

Despite getting sick, we still had an amazing and unforgettable experience. It was the perfect getaway after months of stressful planning. As much as we loved being surrounded by our closest family and friends on the best day of our lives, the time we had in Moorea afterwards to do nothing except enjoy each other’s company was priceless smiley101.

That’s all on the honeymoon front, folks smiley101.

The end!

Note: Again, I am biased, but I think Mr. D took some really gorgeous pictures! If you would like to borrow any of the artistic or scenic photos for your own blogs or websites, we’d sincerely appreciate if you credit the “Daffodils on Weddingbee”, as they are very personal and special to us!
