A few days ago, I had my first make-up trial for the wedding. Now my bridesmaid/make-up artist/amazing friend Kristie told me forever ago to start saving examples of what I wanted. So… I tore out two pictures from a magazine before she got to my house and showed her those. I even had trouble finding them once she arrived. Scatterbrained has definitely become one of my major characteristics in the last few months.
Thank goodness she’s a great friend and didn’t care. Instead she asked me what I liked about the photos I picked, and they all came around to the same qualities: I wanted something soft, simple, and romantic.
So Kristie thumbed through a few more magazines to get some ideas…

Opened up her Mary Poppins bag full of fun makeup…

And made me wash my face.
WARNING: This is my face without make-up and illuminated by a very bright flash… forget immediately.

And here I am afterwards:

soft, simple, and romantic (and without that dang bright flash!)
The process was definitely fun and I learned so much - like doing your eye make-up first before your foundation/powder helps eliminate dark circles. Did anybody else already know that or am I the only tomboy in the mix?
Kristie took this picture to show me the difference between the eyebrow she had already done and the one she had yet to work on. Mine tend to go every which way so I loved getting some tips.

Almost everything she used on my face was MAC since she’s a manager for one. Look at all these fun tools! The only things that were mine were : Avon Moisturizer, eyebrow pencil, lipstick, gloss and Maybelline mascara.

We’re going to have 1 more trial to try out individual false lashes, but other than that, most everything else will stay the same.
What are you doing different for your wedding day make-up?
Gorgeous! You are naturally beautiful and the makeup is light, dewy and natural!
