Compromiso: Dos

September 3rd, 2008 @ 2:09 pm by Mrs. Avocado

What is that weird phrase that bloggers sometimes use. Rolling on the floor laughing? Yeah, that’s it. Some of the captions you guys came up with really had me ROFL. I’ll share my favorite reader prompts, and then when I can remember, I’ll let you know what the real phrase was.

Lisa Liang
-Miss ‘Cado just crashed Mr. ‘Cado’s brand new car
Real phrase-I have no idea, but it had NOTHING to do with flatulence :)
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 790
Purplelime
-Someone forgot to take out the garbage. This one is so funny to me because a few weeks ago Mr. Av didn’t take out the garbage and it turned into a stink bomb outside our door. The complex actually issued a new policy about garbage, instituting $50 fines for trash left outside, because of him!
Real prompt-Again, no idea.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 791Real prompt-”Laugh”. Seriously, we should be on tv. Look how convincing that laughter is.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 79101Real prompt-Suavocado pretending to propose. Do you see that nervous look on my face? I am wondering if he is going to do it right now!
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 794And here is my fake reaction to the big moment.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 79401Miss Pom-Mr. Avo Tries To Grab Miss Avo’s Bootie and Gets Caught!
Real prompt-Pretend Mr. Av’s mom just walked in on you making out.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 795Real prompt-Show how you really felt when Miss Avocado trapped your finger between a rock and her red heel just minutes ago.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 792Purple Lime-Why is the line for the ladies room always so long???
Okay so everyone thinks this picture is me pretending I have to go to the bathroom, but the real prompt is even funnier when you zero in on Suavocado’s face while considering it.
Real prompt-Pretend Miss Avocado’s skirt just flew up.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 79201mhb-Her sisters are coming to stay with the happy newlyweds for a month right after the wedding!
Real prompt-You just found out you are having twins.
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 79202jtg-The Avocados: The Musical. Mr. Avocado hates musicals, and I can’t get enough of them, so this phrase fits us really perfectly :)
Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 793Thanks for playing gals!

After spending some time in front of the colorful walls at The Westin in Puerto Vallarta, we decided to just walk down the street and see what we could find. This part of the day reminded me why photogs usually discourage shooting at noon. The light was harsh, we were sweating, and I even found myself (me, the one who craves photos the way she craves chocolate) wanting to go back to the hotel room and take a shower and a nice long nap.

On the street outside of the hotel we somehow managed to find even more color. I wish the lighting were a little softer here because I love the color combination of red, yellow, and blue. Why don’t we see more wedding schemes in that color?

This picture makes me laugh. It is classic me, trying to imitate all the cool and edgy shots that I see during my blog stalking. It is classic him, trying to figure out what the heck I am doing.

Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 79601

It is quite possible that I am laughing so hysterically because this doorway separated the street from a big, nasty pile of garbage.

The perfect red shoes. I bought them two years ago at the Nordstrom half-yearly sale. It is the first time I have ever purchased the same shoe in two different colors (black and red). I wore the black ones so much that the soles fell out and I had to throw them away. I don’t wear the red ones that often because Mr. Avocado not-so-secretly thinks they make me look like I should be working a street corner somewhere. Ridiculous, eh?

I am a huge fan of sun flares, and I love how this one is going down, down, down, and landing right on us. I also love that it looks like we stepped off of the set of Secret Garden.

When I saw this shot I told Kelli “Did you know you accidentally sent me a shot with your legs in it?” She admitted that she threw it in to the mix because she wanted to be a part of the engagement shoot. Awww, I love her!

Compromiso: Dos : wedding engagement pictures seattle Img 805

We ended this portion of the day by squeezing ourselves against a wall to make it look like we were standing in the middle of a beautiful tropical jungle. Fierce right Tyra?

After this we went back to the hotel room where I showered and took a long nap. Then I got up and did my hair and makeup all over again for another round of photos. It just doesn’t end people.

You had the best ever location for e-photos! Kelli Nicole did a fantastic job! We had ours recently and I felt so ridiculous the entire time because they kept wanting us to smooch. It felt a bit awkward! You guys look cute though!

@twelvetigers: Thanks twelvetigers. Sometimes, we bees just need to hear things like that after we’ve been criticized a little bit. You really made me smile.
