Trying to plan a wedding in a new city, not to mention a new country, is tough, but the fact that we can get legally married here more than makes up for it! Faux Photo Booth Guestbook Revealed

September 4th, 2008 @ 11:27 am by Mrs. Gingerbread

We arrived at our reception with little fanfare. Actually, we sort of just snuck in while everyone else was busy dressing up and posing for some photo ops. As I mentioned earlier, we had a box of props and a DIY “photo booth” that we set up for guests to take advantage of. Here are some of my favourite photos as found in our guest book.

Who are these people?! I think this is my favourite photo since this picture takes me back to a time and place that I’ve never even been. Ellis Island anyone?

Even the baby is in costume!

What a cute little pirate.

Argh! I’m going to turn you into a toad with my magical wand, matey.

The pirate hat was a big hit!

No pirates here.

If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

Here’s the actual guest book.

There were prompts for people to write where they traveled from, advice for the newlyweds, words of wisdom, suggestions for a successful marriage, etc.

Some creative answers.

I should note that Mama Gingerbread did not write that advice. More on her dance moves coming up in the reception posts. The bottom photo is of our guest book photographers. :)

As you can see, the photo booth guest book was a huge hit, I highly recommend having one!  It really got people in the mood to par-tay!

Will you get creative with your guest book?

We’re actually making our own version of http://guestbookstore.com’s guest book. My mom is a computer wiz like none other and she’s going to personalize a version for us. We’re going to have it displayed on a table at the reception, and have a traditional guest book at the entrance to the ceremony.

Great Idea, Ms. G—I love the pic of your mom! Way cute, and that’s a great idea for a guest book! :)

I’m hoping to do the quilt where you have fabric pens and guests can write their well wishes on fabric squares which will later be made into a quilt (by FI’s mom).
