Colorscope

For some people, it’s chocolate. For others, it’s bad boys, or tequila. My vice? Paper. I love it. I love it so much that I live above a Paper Source. Seriously. In the same building.

Anyway, this is all just a set up to telling you about the fun little freebie I picked up at the Paper Source the other day:

It was the Paper Source Colorscope! It’s a chart with all of the colors in their paper product line. Not only is it very useful for coordinating your wedding palette, but it also promises to “let [their] color palette tell you more about yourself.”

Alright, it’s probably as accurate as Miss Cleo and the Psychic Hotline, but I love me some silly horoscopes. I looked at my three wedding palette colors: plum, violet, and grape. Let me tell you the entry for the color plum, which is just one of my colorscope entries:

Your appearance is amazing [you got that right, PS!]— you always know what looks good on you. You are charming [fo sho], concerned with the reaction of others [wait—you find me charming, right?!], and find balance in life [um, I’m addicted to paper—how balanced could I be?]. When in a bad mood, you may have the tendency to see only the negative [don’t go there, yatch].

If you don’t get a chance to drop by the store, the Colorscope is also available online here. It’ll provide you hours—okay, minutes—of enjoyment. It’s just a little somethin’ somethin’ to make your Monday morning more bearable.

What do your wedding colors say about you?

What they call Lake is one of my colors and it says I’m:

You are very attractive, talkative, and have beautiful expressive eyes. One of your greatest assets is your sincere love for those around you. You are in touch with your emotions and help others get in touch with theirs.

Yeah - Im a fan. =)

ooh! how fun! For Red, I get: “You know who you are and what you want. Popularity, money, and power are all yours. You are kind and generous to your friends. You love to have fun at parties, especially if you are in charge, but you are also a perfectionist. You state your opinions boldly.” Sounds about right- haha! Black also sounds good, but I”m not sure about being an optimist like White claims!

Miss Pomegranate says:

Black: You are highly emotional and very loyal to your friends. You are disciplined, an overachiever and very serious. You have a keen understanding of the past and are aware of why things happen the way they do.

White: You are an optimist and a problem solver. Since you tend to keep from getting too close to people, your friends may incorrectly consider you aloof. You have a natural curiosity, and are always coming up with great new ideas.

Chartreuse (WHAT?! NO MOSS!?): Grand adventures are part of who you are. You are assertive with powerful energy. People feel like they are your close friend moments after they have met you. You explore the inner meaning of life.

After reading those, I’m assuming that since they are so contradictory, it might be because I used Chartreuse and not Moss. Ha!

Miss Hot Cocoa says:

@Miss Pomegranate: Are they retiring moss? I have sage and leaf on my chart as well, but no moss. Maybe you’re just a complicated soul!
@linzerella: LOL. You are welcome to visit the one downstairs. I’ll even give you a tour. I think they already think I work there.
