Snip Snip

September 8th, 2008 @ 12:15 pm by Mrs. Tiramisu

Last week I decided to follow in the long tradition of bees and brides everywhere, and so like Mrs. Toucan, Mrs. Lemon, Mrs. Snow Pea, Mrs. Petunia and Mrs. Radish before me, I give you the newlywed chop:

Seven inches of carefully grown out bride hair on the cutting floor. Yay! I’d been waiting to do this for months!

Anyone else have a big post-wedding chop planned?

I love your new ‘do!!

I ended up chopping mine just a couple of weeks ago. Good thing we haven’t set a date yet, maybe it will have time to grow out. :)

Super cute!!!
I will definitely chop mine! And my wedding isn’t for another 8 months… (boo!) Maybe it’s not too late to do it now…….

Oh yes … mine will be exactly like yours - TWO DAYS AFTER MY WEDDING. I’m getting it chopped ASAP!

Looks cute! I did this too, and I couldn’t wait — I couldn’t seem to get anyone to even trim it for months before the wedding! I know; baddd!

I really wanted to get it chopped the day after the wedding (the day before the honeymoon) so it would be easier to style on the honeymoon, but couldn’t get in on a Sunday, so I waited until after the honeymoon :( but got it done almost as soon as we were back — yay!

Very cute! It’s taking everything in me not to chop my hair right now! So yes, I will be doing a post-wedding chop! I’m already looking forward to it!

Adorable!
And YES! I can’t wait, I keep telling people that I have homeless girl hair b/c it’s so long, but my stepmother (my hairdresser) forbids a cut until after the Day.

I absolutely cannot wait to chop off my hair after the wedding!! I’m making an appointment for a couple of days afterwards, and I’m almost looking forward to that more than the wedding!

I love your hair cut!
I’m not planning on cutting mine much after the wedding b/c it is already pretty short.

I love your new ‘do! Very cute! It frames your face well:)

I am having the opposite reaction to my “wedding hair”. I like how it looks longer and will probably keep it that way.

I also chopped my hair this past week. I’ve been losing hair like crazy lately, and after seeing the big ball of hair on my last wash I said “That’s it! Better with short hair than no hair”.

So, after seven years of growing it out, my waist-length hair went to bra-length (almost shoulder-length when curly). I thought I would miss it, but I’m actually enjoying the freedom! My husband (who got really scared when I said I was gonna chop it) actually likes the new hairdo too :-)

I would’ve donated the hair, but it was so sparse it almost looked like a rat tail at the ends… LOL!

So cute! Such a flattering cut on you. Exactly what I want, except my naturally curly hair doesn’t want to play along :-( I try to achieve something similar, but it’s way cuter on you!

Mrs. Tiramisu says:

Thanks guys! I love that so many of you are planning the chop too :)

@Miss Cupcake: Mine is curly too! It would be a disaster if I wasn’t a slave to my flatiron! Having it short cuts the time in half though :)

I can’t wait for the day to chop off my hair again! Yours looks so fun and perfect on you!!

I thought I was anti-post wedding chop. But I realized that subconsciously, I’m planning on it. I’m growing my hair out for wedding hair options (even though we haven’t actually gotten engaged so I could still be a few years away from it) even though I want my hair to look much like yours.

It looks so cute and healthy!

californiaborn says:

Cute do! I chopped off 17 inches of my hair afte the wedding! It used to be to my knees and now it is to my ower back. My hubbie made me promise to wait untill after the wedding to cut it.

Katiekate says:

What are you plans for my wedding - down, up, curly, straight? What are your up do ideas??

29.
Shasha says:

Very cute and so healthy looking!

I hope to do a big choppa-roo and donate it to Locks of Love. I think even my honey is over the long hair too.

I once told him about a chop for cause & he said, “I’d rather donate 300 bucks so they can just buy one.”

Recently he’s pretty said to do whatever I liked….can’t wait! Its FAR too hot in FL for hair to my waist *ugh!*
