OOT Bag Love!

September 9th, 2008 @ 2:43 pm by Miss Sweet Tea

We’re still looking for affordable OOT bags, but I came across this in a Daily Candy Deals email sent to me today:

Maptote bags are 25% off with the Daily Candy Deals code!

They don’t have New Orleans, natch, but these natural canvas totes are super fun. For you Gocco-ers out there, this map idea is quite a nice one (wink wink).

As for me, I’m still on the hunt for my perfect OOT bags: reusable, affordable, cute but not cutesy. The search continues…

This was an idea I was going to do with my gocco, but I may just buy it to save time!! Thanks Sweet Tea!

These are awesome! I love maps, I love totes….why oh why isn’t there a Seattle one?

I bought totes from Wal-Mart in the fabric section (3 pack of totes was $5) and then uses fabric paint pens and stencils to decorate them. It was really quick and easy!

Oh yes, these were totally finalists for our OOT bags, but in the end we couldn’t justify the expense…today I’m cursing Daily Candy that they didn’t offer this discount back in March! :)

Love it! You (or an artistic friend) could probably design your own and use iron-on transfers if you’re not up to Gocco. So cool!

I found afforable re-usable bags that came in an array of colors online at Paper-Mart.

It’s worth checking them out:

@Eliza and Miss Cookie: On their site it says they do custom orders and bulk discounts… maybe something worth looking into?

Eliza says:

Custom orders? That’s perfect! I hope they can use the log cabin font they used on the Portland bags…

I love the map totes - especially since I’m a cartographer.

For anyone out there who’s interested, for cheaper you can do a city themed skyline bag like I did for my wedding:
