Fill Them Up!

September 12th, 2008 @ 12:18 pm by Mrs. Sundae

It’s a flurry of last minute projects at the Sundae house, and last weekend we hit up Target for some goodies to put in the bathroom baskets. After reading the bathroom basket wiki, I had lofty expectations as to all of the things that we would include… and then we got a little lazy. Plus, the girls basket turned out to be a little smaller than I had expected. So, after doing some damage at the $1 miniature sized travel bins, this is what I came up with:

The girls basket includes:

  • Tampons
  • Nail files
  • Hair spray
  • Mouthwash
  • Floss
  • Shout wipes
  • Hair ties
  • Safety pins
  • Band-Aids
  • Cotton swabs
  • Tums
  • Eye drops
  • Ibuprofen

Here is a closer look at the contents:

We are also going to put a pack of gum in each of them, but we haven’t gotten around to that quite yet! There are going to be five hydrangea centerpieces for our rehearsal dinner that are in little galvanized tin buckets that match the exact color of the edges of the bathroom baskets. So, in the spirit of getting as much use out of those flowers as possible, there will be one centerpiece in each bathroom, and the other three will be on the bars and next to the guest book, respectively. Yay for dual uses!

I would put little cups into the baskets, so that people don’t have to drink directly from the mouthwash bottle. Maybe little paper bathroom cups, or plastic shot glass cups?
