Still Motion TTD

September 12th, 2008 @ 5:19 pm by Mrs. Penguin

Being a videographer myself, it’s funny to think that videography was not really important to us at our wedding. While we hired a friend that was a professional videographer (who did not specialize in weddings), we never really considered videography to be something that was “worth it”.

That is, not until we caught a glimpse of the amazing work of the Canadian videographers over at Still Motion! I (and many others!) oohed and ahhed over Mrs. Milkshake’s same-day edit by Still Motion, and since they’ve been blogged about before, I don’t have to go on about their incredible work, but I DO want to share this awesome trash the dress video session of my good friend Griffen and her new husband Curtis. While the trash the dress photo shoot is not new to any of us, this is the first time I’ve seen a TTD video, and it takes the concept to a whole new level!

Check it out:

Griffen + Curtis’ Trash the Dress Shoot in CA from StillMotion on Vimeo.

Seeing Still Motion’s work makes me wish we squeezed the budget just a little more to be able to afford something like this! Every video they post on their blog leaves me in awe! Griffen told me that her dress, amazingly, is still in beautiful condition even after the shoot! Congrats to you both on an amazing wedding, and for introducing me to the TTD video concept!

*groan* I’m so jealous it hurts.
Not only is the shoot amazing, but the bride’s accessories, hair, makeup & dress are gorgeous. Any idea where she got her veil?

Hi ladies, many thanks for all the kind words. Still-Motion is talented beyond words and I still cannot thank them enough for all of their work. I would recommend them in a heart beat to any bride wanting cinematography at her wedding. But I think the absolute best thing I could say about them is that, beyond their talent, they are kind, sincere, wonderful people - all of them. This, above all is what is important to surround yourself with on what can be a stressful day.
Chibride: I got my mantilla veil off of WeddingBee classifieds :) It doesn’t have a designer tag, so I don’t know who made it unfortunately. But I’ve seen mantillas on the boards since, so I advise to scoure them often :)
My accessories were all from Macy’s - with the exception of my blue right hand ring which was my great-grandmothers.
I did my hair and make-up for the Trash the Dress, but for the Same Day Edit, my make-up was done by the incomparable Audrey Crandell of Glowing Bridal. She’s the absolute best, just a doll!
Thanks to Pengy for the post :)

I am still wide-eyed… and wiping tears. The part at the end where she spins around gave me an ache in my heart. Too beautiful. Such talent!
