Wedding Day Part I: The Girls Getting Ready

Please accept my apologies as I’ve been a bad little birdie! The very day after I posted the first recap, we closed and moved into the “Love(bird) Nest” and I’ve pretty much been running around with my head chopped off the last couple of weeks. What do you say, hive, do you forgive the little lovebird? As a token of my sincerity, I offer to you the pro-pics of the boys getting ready the day of the wedding. I believe most of these pictures were taken by our second shooter, Christian of del Sol Photography. Keep in mind I’ve known all these fellas since we were in high school, so I will take every liberty to embarrass them while I can.

That’s a picture of our GM Henry… notice his hair. I didn’t want to be one of those brides that would say, “You need to get a haircut before the wedding.” So I didn’t say anything, because knowing Henry, who does the opposite of people want, he’d go out and get something outrageous like extensions. I secretly hoped he would cut it on his own, but no luck. Seriously, I love this guy to death because he really is the sweetest and I secretly admire how he doesn’t give a rat’s ass what other people think. Looking back now, I’m glad I didn’t ask him to cut it, because not only did I “let” (cue bridezilla) Henry be “Henry”, I can chuckle to myself how silly he looks because his hair too long and he was wearing a shirt and pants that were way too big for him. But that’s a story for another day.

Notice how the BM Ernie is doing Mr. Lovebird’s tie for him. My hubby has no clue how to tie his own tie.

I swear, Mr. Lovebird spends more time on his hair than I do!

I always giggle at this picture because that looks like the smallest hair dryer ever! Mr. Lovebird looks like a giant holding a miniature hairdryer.

Mr. Lovebird hates buttoning the top button, but I guess he sucked it up for the wedding day.

Seriously, dude, stop looking the the mirror already!

Who said only the bride needs help getting dressed on her wedding day.
