Hi, everyone! Miss Fondue here. I’m so excited to be the “newbee” around the hive! I’ve been an avid reader of Weddingbee for months, and all the wonderful bees have inspired me so much. I hope that I will be able to inspire some of you, as well. (Or at least entertain you a little!)

Mr. Fondue and I have been together for over four years. We’re actually getting married the day after our fifth dating anniversary. A few years ago, we decided to check out the local Melting Pot restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Neither of us had ever had fondue before, but we absolutely fell in love that night. We eventually procured our own fondue pot, so we could make our own yummy fondue concoctions.

I chose to be Miss Fondue because I thought it was representative of our journey through life together, discovering new things with our best friend by our side.

Okay, corny moment over! How about a little bit about us? I’m a technical analyst for a company that mostly creates web applications for the state. I majored in computer science at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, but don’t be fooled: I know nothing about football and despise the color orange. Mr. Fondue is currently holding a job at Gamestop, while he is attending classes to become a network administrator. This means we get to check out games from the store for free. We’re living in Nashville now with our two cattens (they’re not quite cats but no longer kittens), Oscar and Vera, who you will probably see a lot of, since they like to work their way into every DIY photo I take.

Our wedding isn’t until next May, so you’re stuck with me for quite some time. And I have to warn you now: I’m another damask bride. I’m trying not to let it overwhelm the wedding, but the most random things come in damask now, that sometimes I really have to stop myself. But that’s another post for another time!
