The last four months have been full of changes in the Pineapple household. We have a new home, new jobs, and a new puppy. The biggest change we were planning for was to occur on October 18—our wedding. For many reasons, the most important being our love for one another and our families, we have decided to get married this week—a month earlier than we had originally planned.
So, what does this mean for us, exactly? Well, we are still going to have our wedding, almost as planned, in October. The main difference will be that we will already be a family. We are going to write our October ceremony as a vow renewal. There may be some changes as far as officiating and such, but we still plan to have a fancy party and I’ll still wear a poofy dress.
We want this “second first wedding” to be simple, but still as special as any wedding should be.
In the next few days I will share with you my adventures in planning a wedding in less than a week. There will be a new dress, new flowers, a new location, and of course, the legalities of a license and a magistrate. It should be a pretty easy wedding to plan. We already have everything we need—our parents, one another, and a whole lotta love.
Were you or anyone you know married before your wedding reception?
