Weddingbee Blog

We’re all here! Unfortunately we couldn’t sit together because all the people with laptops are sitting in one place.  I’m in the second row, and Mrs. Corn is sitting across from me with Mrs. Peony next to her.  You might be able to spot us!  Will try to live blog throughout the show!  Oh and we’re all going to Shake Shack after the show, so stop by if you’re nearby!

9:51 am -  Before the show, the audience warm-up guy Joey asked about popular blogs.  I raised my hand and mentioned Weddingbee — lots of applause!   Darcy Miller heard that I was in the audience and came over and took a picture with me.  She said she’d post it up on the Martha Wedding blog today!

10:01 am - Just saw Snow Pea in the audience pan.  She’s wearing a red dress!

10:04 am - Darcy just told Martha that she ran into me on air!  Woohoo so exciting!!!!  Martha looks great like usual.  She looks exactly the same in person as she does on tv,

10:05 am - Martha introduced Smitten Kitchen blogger Deb Perelman.  I love that blog!

10:06 am - Meg Frost from Cute Overload was just introduced!  I truly love that blog! She works at Apple and is allergic to pets, so she started a collection of animal photos and that’s how Cute Overload came about.  And we all get a Cute Overload calendar! My cat Sparky was featured on Cute Overload way back in the day.
10:09 am - We all get a copy of the book A Year of Mornings - a photo book by two friends who took a photo each morning.

10:12 am - Perez Hilton is on his way out. Wow he’s lost a lot of weight.  He uses blogads on his site to generate revenue.  Mario is his real name.  He sets his alarm for 3:57am because he lives in LA and needs to blog on east coast time. Martha asked him how much he makes… he’s being coy.  He asked Martha how much she makes, and Martha said it’s public knowledge.

10:22 am - Matt Armendariz of Matt Bites is on now making cookies.

10:30 am - Commercial break.  Crafting with Eddie Ross of The Design Blog next.  He’s a senior style editor at Martha Stewart Living.

10:35 am - He’s sharing cute craft project ideas.  Oh wow he’s on Top Design!

10:37 am - Commercial break. Political bloggers Ben Smith and Jonathan Martin are on next.

10:39 am - Uh oh I have to sneeze.  I’ll have to hold it in.

10:40 am - Oops Martha called Sarah Palin Sharon Palin!  She corrected her mistake. Jonathan is travelling with Sarah Palin and Ben is traveling with Barack Obama.

10:46 am - I saw a little bit of myself in an audience pan!  Margaret Roach from the blog A Way to Garden is on next to do some gardening.

10:47 am - Margaret was a former editor at Martha Stewart.  They’re talking about Wordpress.  Martha just moved her blog to Wordpress.  And of course Weddingbee is powered by Wordpress!

10:52 am - It’s chilly in here!

10:54 am - Commercial break.  Martha’s blog photographer follows her everywhere and photographs everything. They’re warning us that most of us will be on camera after the break…

10:57am - Just saw Tulip and Toucan’s back!

10:57am - We all get an HP wireless printer!!!!

10:58 am - And it’s a wrap!

11:01 am - Darcy just came over to chat again.  She’s gonna write about me on her blog today!  She is so adorable and petite as a button in real life.

11:02 am - Martha took a group pic with all the laptop  people sitting in the center of the audience section.

11:05 am - Shooting some additional segments - Martha is doing a hot dog tasting. Hot dogs galore from the tri-state area!  Looks like over 30 from Katz Deli, Nathan’s, etc.

11:13 am - Martha’s hair and makeup person touches her up during every commercial break. Martha is getting ready to eat a whole lot of hot dogs.  The segment will air on the 23rd.

11:18 am - Joey the audience warm up guy just came over and said, “Wow Darcy Miller is really interested in you.”  I feel like a celebrity. ;)  He used to be the audience warm up guy for the Rosie O’ Donnell Show.

11:22 am - She’s chowing down on hot dogs!  They look so good, and I’m hungry!

11:25 am - Martha is cracking up at a really BIG hot dog.  It’s huge!  Martha says she always stops by Papaya King on 86th Street.  She’s a sauerkraut fan.

11:28 am - They’re eating the giant hot dog.

11:39 am - We’re done!

The bees are attending a taping for a special bloggers’ edition of the Martha Stewart Show tomorrow!  Be on the lookout for Candy Corn, Tulip, Martini, Canary, Snow Pea, Ant, Peony, Corn, Toucan, Lovebird, Dahlia, and me!

The show asked the audience to bring their laptops and liveblog the taping, so hopefully we’ll be able to do just that.  If you see us there, come say hello! I’ll be wearing a yellow shirt. Oh and the show is live, so tune in and let us know if you spot the bees on tv!
