Uhm, I’ve lost my internal tracking device system that allows me to locate any and all electronic items throughout my house. This seems to have begun as soon as the boxes and boxes of lovely wedding gifts started arriving and cluttering up my house - not to mention the boxes of wedding supplies in every nook and cranny. This seems to be the reason behind why I cannot, for the life of me, find the camera that holds the photos from my last fitting.
No worries - I’m not going to leave you hanging here. Of course not! Instead, I simply waited a week for the next episode - my most recent fitting that occurred just yesterday. Keep in mind that we’ve jumped from the yellow sample fabric, right up to a finalized design. There are only minor fittings to do now, including the simple bustle that Carole has dreamed up.

A closer look at the back.
I’m in love with my dress! I love how the lambskin matches the fascinator on my veil. I love the pleating at the hem. I love, love, love the back. It’s simple, it’s modern, and it’s got a touch of fashion. After all, my dress was inspired by an Oscar de la Renta that I could never in my life afford, and would never in my life fit well on my curvy body.

Obviously, I am not a size 0 like the above runway model. I knew that silk charmeuse would not be my friend, as it accentuates every single body flaw - so we decided to go with double faced satin. We changed the bust line to better fit my not-model-like chest - and I think it’s a bit more Proenza Schouler-esque. We changed the heavy silver bugle beading on the bustline to a much more economical, but still stunning, silver lambskin. While it’s most definitely not the same dress, I love it because it is more me.
Next up - the finishing touches and a simple bustle!
