The Avocado Bun Video

September 19th, 2008 @ 11:54 am by Mrs. Avocado

After I posted about my bridesmaid birdcage veils, Miss Dumpling and Miss Sea Breeze asked how I did my hair for the veil modeling, and I decided to do a little video to show you how insanely easy it is. I’m sorry that the fan in the background is so loud and distracting, and that the quality of the video isn’t that great (I had to optimize it to a very low quality in order load it onto YouTube) but I was rather impressed with how fabulously my little Pia II handled my first attempt at video making.

Certainly let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with your own hair trials if you decide to do something similar for yourself on your big day!

Alas, don’t ask me why I started with “Today I am going to show you…” which makes it sound like I do this for a living or something. I have been watching too many late night infomercials while I plan my wedding. :)

Will you be doing your own hair for your wedding?

Miss Avocado you are so sweet! I was actually just watching this and you commented on my blog and it was like seeing you for real! And I loved the story and how you elbow suavacado. Boys are clueless about such things, eh? Funny how you both see ‘trendy’ as bad though!

I am so trying this ‘do this weekend. Yes, I AM going to be doing my own hair for my wedding so I am really extra hoping (…er, something like that) that this will work with my thin hair. I think its longevity will for sure beat curling-iron curls in that Caribbean humidity. Avo, you ROCK!

Your hair is so lovely. I don’t think mine would behave half as well. I’m going to have to get me some bobby pins & give it a try.
