Mr. Taffy and I are the proud owners of two beautiful canaries. We have a yellow female named Fluffenstein (fluffy for short) and a white/silver female named Luna.
This is Fluffy (she becomes very puffed up into a ball when she is happy and relaxed!):

And here is Luna:

I am crazy about these little birds… my friends joke that soon I will have a nest in my hair! (headpiece idea, perhaps?) Speaking of nests, here is a rare shot of the two ladies snuggling:

Out of control cuteness!!!
Although our wedding is not going to be a full on bird theme, I would like to give a few shout outs to my little pets. We are still thinking about the possibilities—a bird cage for the cards, carrying some of their feathers in a locket… but what I would really like to do is get them to try this:

I’m not asking them to sew the whole dress, but maybe they could carry a few ribbons, the ends of my veil, maybe even the rings?

I wish!!!
I have even heard of some weddings where birds were present at the reception in a cage… that might be fun, but the birds could become frightened and I would worry about them the whole time.
In the meantime, I’ll keep daydreaming of Cinderella trained birds.
We’ve seen many dogs incorporated into weddings, but how are you incorporating other types of pets into your wedding?
