We’re Registered, Yo!

September 19th, 2008 @ 12:24 pm by Mrs. Espresso

As we’ve started receiving gifts in the mail, I thought it was about time I wrote about our registry. We’ve registered at four places total, and until last week, we had “too little on our registry”. We’d only registered for things that we “needed”. But with our large amount of guests, I guess we needed to give them some more options. So, we’ve added some stuff to the list and everything is so purty! Here are some of our favorite things from our first registry at Crate & Barrel.

Best waffle maker ever! My dad got that for me for my 23rd birthday, and it is my favorite thing to use for breakfast!

We are most excited to get (hopefully) a new coffee maker and a new toaster. Not very exciting, but if you saw the ones that we have now, whoo, boy would you understand! LOL!

I bought that same cutting board for a friend of mine. Love it, almost registered for it!

I think I’m most excited about our china.

I have that end grain chopping board too…its a great addition to the kitchen and I love how its raised off of the counter so it makes for easier cleanup (you dont get that “moisture squish” that boards that touch the counter completely do)

Our favorite gift was our everyday china, cause we use it everyday and love it!

I heart Crate and Barrel!! I love your favorite things, great choices. I am obsessed with the ever popular KitchenAid mixer (certainly not bc its the most practical gift!), but now I’m more excited about the everyday china we picked out!

@Vic004: hahaha I like the way you think ;)
@Mrs. Penguin: “moisture squish” is not good. And now that’s what I’m going to think about when I’m chopping tomatoes on my current non- raised board :(
@carly7215: and @soontobeewed: I totally understand being excited about the mixer. I’ve had mine for a few years now and LOVE it! My old roomate had a party and while I was gone put my mixer in this small corner space of the kitchen to make room. When I came back and saw my shining kitchen beacon shoved into the shadows I told her, “Nobody puts Mixer in the corner!”

Ooo! That tea press looks AWESOME! One of those is def going on our registry.

We’re totally putting a Magic Bullet on the list, too. My roommate introduced me to them and I am hooked! It’s like a fun mini blender!

I’m hoping to receive an chester drawer but at $1,000 it’s not likely. That’s our most expensive item. I actually purchased it a couple months ago at 30% off) as a surprise for the FH, but he said to return it. DO we just transferred it to the registry.

After that the most next most expensive item is an upright Dyson… I really want that too!

@ladyjane: Mr. Espresso was all over the tea press while I was drooling over espresso machines- and yes- that magic bullet is frickin awesome!
@McG: I’d definitely say transfer it to your registry… can’t hurt right?

I registered (and have since received) the Bialetti Latte Maker from C&B. I bought the stove top version and can’t wait to make a Mocha Latte. The FI won’t allow me to use any of our wedding gifts until we’re officially married, but even he’s thinking that I should “test” the latte maker soon.

I love the waffle maker from crate and barrel! Did you go to their wedding event? They have food samples and a heart shaped candy bowl for you.

@littlefoot: go ahead and pass some of that buttery apple cider this way when you do ;)
I didn’t go to their wedding event but I did receive the heart shaped candy bowl when we registered… where did I put that?

We registered for and received the same mini/multi-chop, tea press, and waffle iron. We love all three and use them often.

Having tea together in the evening is one of our new favorite activities.
