The Easiest Part of Planning

When discussing our budget, Mr. Fondue and I agreed on one thing: photography was, by far, the most important item. It was also the easiest item to choose. Unbeknown to him, I had already found our photographer. About two years earlier, I was bored one day and planned what I thought our wedding might be like. It involved pink cymbidium orchids, some Asian design, less than 60 people, and Kate Crafton taking photos.

Alas, the only thing that remained was Kate. Fast forward two years later, and she had taken on a position with a studio in order to spend more time with her family. Soon after we became engaged, we scheduled an appointment with her at the new studio, Studio 5 Photographic Artists. I brought along my list of questions to ask, but they were really more of a formality. We loved her personality, and so we booked her!

We are so excited to have her as our photographer! We had our engagement session a few weeks back, and are anxiously waiting to see them. (If you look, you can find a teaser on her blog.)

Me too! I completely knew photography was the most important part. Our photographer was the first vendor we booked.

i also agree the the photographer was the most important.
choosing wasn’t difficult. and thus far, i couldn’t be happier with our choice!!

We ended up changing our wedding date around our photographers’ commitments. They are just starting out (so fees are low) but immensely talented (score!)

I LOVE your photog’s work. Those are awesome photos.

We definitely chose our photographer before any other vendor and while it was really hard to find someone whose work and personality we loved, we did find that person, and she’s amazing
